Howard gets presidential award.

Former prime minister John Howard will receive the highest civilian honour a US president can bestow during a White House ceremony next week.

Mr Howard, along with former British prime minister Tony Blair and Columbia's president Alvaro Uribe, has been awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

3. Mark Latham didn't get much right,

but when he referred to the Howard government as "a conga-line of suckholes", he was spot-on.

Led by the dickhead-in-chief, John Winston Howard.
