Harry Ried (Democrat senator of Nevada) for president 2008!
Ried is an old-fashioned Democrat. He is an active Mormon, socially moderate and economically liberal/moderate. Nevada went for Bush but Ried won re-election to the US Senate by over a 60% margin. That means wide popularity with Republicans, Democrats and independent voters. This is the kind of man the Democrats need to groom for a presidential candidate in 2008 -- if Democrats want to hear the term "landslide" in the same sentence as "Democratic presidential candidate" ever again.

5. I only wish! But I fear
that this country is becoming so biased, that no black candidate will win for President for a long time.

I hope I'm wrong. He's a wonderful, inspiring man.

6. Could not disagree with you more.
What's needed is more education on the issues,not further movement to the right. If the right wing agenda is enacted in full it will be very educating as to how bad it is.
