3. don't generally strike..
stop listening to clear channel stations, support independant film, independant radio (move to sirius satelite radio), shop at local ma/pop stores, eat at you local cafee's and coffee shops (predominently progressive), support your local arts & festivals..

Time to make a shift in the power from the ground up.

8. Local Mom & Pop coffee shop in my town = Freeperville
All right-wing books on the reading shelf, anti-gay/anti-abortion bumper stickers for sale, Jesus rock on the in-store stereo.

I went in there once, because I didn't know and because I like to support independent businesses. Out of respect for the young clerk behind the counter (who probably had nothing to say about how the business was run) I went ahead and paid for my coffee and left, but there's no way in hell I would ever set foot in there again. I'd go to a fucking Starbucks first.

14. Well, you always have to consider what weasel is getting your money
Those people were babble thumpers, and we all know you won't go THERE again. However, there's an alternative to the corporate food that's killing us.

Learn to COOK.

5. That's a very good idea.
Take your money walking. Vote with your wallet, as it is. Stop supporting the obviously partisan media (including movies,) newspapers, etc. The big chains should be boycotted. McDonalds, Wal-Mart, etc, etc. Support local businesses, even if they are more expensive.

16. "Liberal partisan media"
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 09:28 AM by FlaGranny
is liberal? You could have fooled me. It seems to me if they had been reporting the truth instead of White House Propaganda for the past four years, we might not have 1100 youngsters dead and 10,000 or so wounded. Liberals would not throw away lives like that.

17. liberal?!
please- our media is incompetent yes, but liberal?

After 6 years of all Monica all the time, followed by a sheep-like deference to the current administration on the lead up to the war in Iraq, and several other obvious examples, can we please put to rest the myth of the 'liberal' media?

(did you notice how quickly states were called for * yesterday, and in contrast how slowly MN, MI, PA, and NH were assigned to Kerry? How about the flash news stories while polls were still open about how Kerry's lead in exit polls was causing a stock market slump? Does this really look/sound like the work of a 'liberal' press?)

Just because Sean, Bill, and Rush say it's a liberal media doesn't make it so.

15. I have, too
Just get the word out. Post on message boards. Talk to friends. Make it bigger.

Remember even a relatively small drop in sales of 5% will get their attention.
