We did feel very confident in the days leading into it. I'm just wondering if enough of us just didn't bother thinking it's won already. Something went wrong!

on edit: "enough of us" means Dems in general, not just DUers.

I read in Salon.com's war room that the youth vote didn't materialize as strongly as we had hoped. Sorry no link. Too tired and discouraged to go get it.

11. I don't believe the accusations

It just seems too easy to blame the youth vote. I truly believe that younger voters were highly motivated and that they did make it to the polls. I voted early here in Austin, and my polling place was on the UT campus. The line was predominantly students, and they were not all voting for Kerry. ("Dhuuude.... you're voting for * aren't you?")

There is fraud at play here, in a big way. A few votes here... a few votes there... intimidate... threaten... and voila!

7. We voted, but most left activism to "someone else"

same as always. I begged other Dems to help with the Kerry campaign here in Florida, but for the most part I was ignored. I'm not surprised by the outcome. Posting on DU doesn't count as activism, folks.
