I just dont see any real progress on any of these things made the next few weeks because nothing major has happened yet except for the Glib recount. The Recount will go on and Kerry will get a 10,000-20,000 vote margin increase.

missing from Iraq makes one hell of a shadow nuke in the hands of the Busheviks Mafia to push through the border and blame it on Iran; to distract us, just like 9-11 distracted us from the fact that Gore won in '00.

31. That's what I fear too . . . .
As soon as the Repubs realize this is going to really break wide open, the terror alert level will go to RED, marshall law will be instituted, and some new explosive (pun intended) story will come out to divert all attention from what's going on with the vote fraud. How can we anticipate and foil their plans for this? Anyone have any ideas?

With the Conyers hearing (that Madsen said would be on C-Span, BTW), amd Blackwell called on to answer their questions, at the same time he will be making decisions regarding the recount... The Reptilicans are being backed into a corner, and this should be a VERY interesting week. Just hope the "terror" alert doesn't go sky high.

48. It's going to be a very big week for Network News...IF they cover it...
which I think they finally will...if nothing else than for ratings. With all the things due to start happening this week, network news could even beat "Desparate Houswives" ratings if they tried!

Though I agree the Repugs are going to come out swinging. They've been far too quiet lately. I suspect (as others have said) that they'll try and spin the Fraud to pin some of the blame on Dems. I think there's a hint of that in the FBI/East St. Louis investigation listed on one of the other threads here. That worries me a bit. Though overall, I think this week (at the very least) will BEGIN debunking the so-called Mandate!:kick: :kick:

remember my words, and we'll see what happens in a month or so....

But i have this huge strange feeling, Blackwell has or will do something REALLY FUCKING STUPID that makes it indesputable (not just our conclusions drawn by the obvious) that he allowed intentional voter suppression and/or fraud, and he will literally be OWNED. I just have this wierd feeling, he is going down.

Someone please mark my words.

47. I agree; and mentioned in yesterday in one of these threads that...
I've always thought of Blackwell like a 'character' in a script, with an interesting character 'arc' (in terms of personal conflict & growth). I just feel that the Universe has put him in the center of a real moral 'tug of war.' Underneath all his wanting to 'belong' and be accepted by the Repugs, I somehow feel there is a real 'conflict' beneath it all. He IS the central Protaganist in this Drama...more powerful than even Bush. He holds 'strings' over both Repugs and Dems...and in fact the fate of Democracy as we know it. Whatever amount of money or promotion was offered him early on, clearly will NOT compensate for the center of the 'hurricane' he's sitting in right now. He has to realize that if Fraud charges come down (much like the 'Enlisted Men' in the Abu Gharib scandal), that he (Blackwell) will likely be left 'holding the bag' of blame by Bushco. Also since Blackwell is being listed as the Defendant in the many cases already filed and being filed in Ohio... he can NOT be sleeping well, and no doubt lives with MANY bodyguards at all times. Plus he seems quite the 'retentive' personality type, so all this turmoil has to be eating away him terribly.

I predict a 'crack' in his armor...whether that be an accidental or intentional 'disclosure'. I feel he's the most likely suspect to squeal.

38. we need a backup communication system
I am alarmed by the idea that 911 could have been staged to distract us from the reports that Gore won in 2000. The revelations trying to break out NOW about the 2004 election, are MUCH MORE SERIOUS.

So, maybe 911 was not staged, but how do we know?

If so, it is not a RED LEVEL alert to worry about, but an actual "terrorist" attack. This could be the excuse for martial law, interuption of communications, arrests of various people which just might include left-leaning bloggers. In all the confusion, the public would not know or care.

It would also stall the processing of this shocking fact, by the general public, that the election was stolen and our leaders are crooks.

I'm just new here. If the internet, or sites like DU went down, what backup would there be?

I guess I can't even send a private message, but, people, without the internet, how would any of you get in touch? If you don't know each others names, phone numbers or addresses? Maybe people here could send PRIVATE MESSAGES to other DU'ers they know and trust with personal into so they could get in touch in time of need.

If you guys think this is a good idea, maybe someone could post it as a subject?

Welcome to DU idealista.

Hypothetically speaking, were there just cause for your fears, people would be working on that and it would not be an appropriate subject for public discussion, and it would require building a lot of trust before it could be discussed - that's all self evident, no?

Hypothetically speaking, of course. :)

Again, welcome, glad you joined us, and I look forward to getting to know you better.

56. I would say that it was not completely staged, but that
the timing was certainly calculated by forces inside BushCo; and you are quite right that one of the critical elements of the timing was apparently the scheduled Sept. 12 release of the MSM's report on the 2000 elections. It has been deep-sixed since 911. I guess no one wanted to hurt Bush's feelings after 911 by letting the truth be known about 2000. But I'm not sure they can pull that trick so easily a second time....

61. kick! I agree. We ought to start an old-fashioned phonetree
for starters. Groups of DU people in each city, with group leaders assigned to contact other leaders in their state, and state leaders assigned to coordinate with national DU folks via phone and fax. The possibility of the Internet being cut off is real and we should take it seriously. Phones can be tapped, so eventually in person contact or some other means might be needed to keep communication open. To be clear, I'm not talking about anything illicit, just exercising our rights of free speech.

53. We will be one day away from Bush's second term being solidified
Once the slates of electors are chosen and the votes are cast, it's basically a done deal.

If the votes of a state are challenged via procedure when the electoral votes are tabulated in the Congress, Bush/cheney will still win because that ploy throws the election to the House and Senate.

So, there is one week, and one week only, to alter the outcome of the election. After next Monday, it's a done deal and only impeachment can end a second Bush term, although Cheney would complete said term.

58. It will be fought in courts
What I think will be really funny (but also kinda tragic) is that so many people who get their news tv will get hit blindsided when the shit hits the fan.

I made a prediction reading tarot about a month ago. That this would be fought largely in courts, that it will shock a lot of people deeply. That people will go to jail, if not Bush himself, people high up in his administration. The media will eventually come around and act with much more responsibility than in the past and finally that when this is all exposed the rest of the world will be much more happy with america than they are now.

the post of my reading is here:
