I will not give up on this country although this country gave up on me
I know Kerry-Edwards will fight and make sure all the votes are counted but I can't hold back my sadness, disappointment, rage, anger over the election results.

Most of this country gave up on me and millions of others just like me.

I am a gay man from a middle class family who works hard for what I have. Sadly, America doesn't care about these people.

I live in a city that is mainly middle-lower class. When you walk down Main Street, it's not a pretty sight. Run down buildings, people begging for money. Sadly, American does not care about these people.

My city and the surrounding towns have an above average poverty level, unemployment level and a population that is mixed based on racial lines. Sadly, America doesn't care about these people.

I have seen the struggles up close and personal from some of my friends and above all my boyfriend who is Puerto Rican and struggles to gain acceptance in "White America". Sadly, America doesn't care about these people.

I'm so sorry to vent, I know this is a sad day for all of us here, but I sit and think about what this country has become and I guess I'm finally realizing that in many cases I don't matter to America.

But I will fight on and do whatever it takes to get my country back. I'm so sorry that America has given up on me but I'm not yet ready to give up on America.

Peace, hugs and kisses
-Will

1. You are a better person than I am.
If Kerry does not win Ohio, and Bush has a mandate, I can not stay here. I do not want to be associated with this country. You are a gay man. I am a woman. Neither of us will be considered human beings. I would prefer to be like the Germans who left. I will not support the Nazi's. I will not give them my tax dollars.

2. I know it is bleak and dissapointing, but its not like it was 10 or 20%
Even with all the bullshit, cheating, fearmongering and other dirty shit they pulled they only have a couple of percentage point on us. litterally half the country DOES care!
