What upsets me most is HOW they won -- a victory for hatred, fear, lies

They won by lying, smearing, misleading, dividing, attacking, ranting, distorting, hating, and fear-mongering.

Look at the difference in our conventions. The brilliant "librul media" screeched for days before the DNC convention that we couldn't, shouldn't, mustn't dare "bash Bush." And we didn't. Obama's keynote was a message of unity. Yet theirs was all about rage and character assassination of John Kerry, with Zell's keynote a hysterical hate-filled meltdown.

It's the victory of THAT that infuriates and saddens me. How will there ever be a civil campaign season again, now that this level of vitriol is the model of success?

But their biggest push that we could not match was in the mixed boards and chat rooms.

Their mindless big liars that can only repeat their hate radio hosts are all over the boards and chats.

Surely the majority of young people were with us, but still there is an ever growing right wing component of that group.

Young people spend a lot of time online in mixed boards and chats. And the right wing Big Liars are there for them. In music boards and chats, in Sports boards and chats as well the political boards etc.

We need to match their effort.

Come here for news and views and for a base, but then get out and spread what we know around.

The only rule is to not put down our own people.

All the good people who supported us, the celebrities, the unexpected endorsements, the good reporters and analysts will be destroyed if we don't get out and defend them.

If we don't then we deserve what is coming to us.

Plus the internet is the last bastion of anonymous political work. Unless you break a law badly then if you don't offer your information you probably won't be tracked-- this should hold at least for a few years still. (Serious law breakers can always be tracked to an address of connection via the IP number they are currently using. Even if you rent a new IP each connection your ISP keeps records so don't abuse your anonymity.

I thought Democrats did a far better job this time around with the Debunker, Media Matters, and so many blogs. Each lie was soundly and quickly refuted.

But no matter how bad the truth gets -- debt, war, lies, blunders -- the dumbest things get the Morons' attention. ("Al Gore said he invented the internet, ya know!")

I don't know how to fight against that level of idiocy.

And so many of them claim to be Christians.

it's beyond Democratic/Republican. The simple truth is that the basest traits of humanity in this country have triumphed.

I have never been more ashamed and disheartened than I am today.

Jerry Falwell said on CNN a few weeks ago said that all Democrats are anti God and don't believe in Jesus Christ. The right has painted a picture of the democrats like we are a pack of heathens. But the Bible says that all liars well have their part in the lake of fire. Fact Bush has lied to the American people. The Bible says blessed are the peace makers for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Fact Bush is a warmonger who has the blood of 100,000 Iraqi citizens on his hands. He did this knowing that the Iraqis did not due one thing to this country to warrant a preemptive attack on their country. When everything catches up to this man God help him. the only thing is that the Innocent suffer for his misleading and lying to the American people. He is in his own mess lets see if gets out. Bush a righteous man who would believe it, remember the Bible says pride cometh before a fall, so the right better get prepared. :o
