Oklahoma fraud? counting backwards? treachery I say
http://okimc.org/newswire.php?story_id=344

"The respectable, conservative "Tulsa World" newspaper reported on November 3rd that, as of the tabulation of 70% of OK votes, Kerry was winning in 57 of the states's rural counties.
http://www.tulsaworld.com/TWPDFs/2004/Final/A_10_11_3_2004.pdf

The report represented results of the counting when the tabulation was about 70% "complete" as they would say in the old Soviet Union.

The official State of Oklahoma Election Board vote totals released later show Kerry not winning but losing in all the state's 77 counties, including the 57 rural counties. Here is the State's final tally on CNN..."

What the heck????

Has this been widely covered and I just missed it?

2. This has been debunked
There is a thread on this subject. If you wish to look for it, it was last week. The Tulsa World issued a retraction and said they published the figures from a previous election in error ( anti-cock fighting bill)

Also common sense would tell you it wasn't true.

7. Sorry to say, no it wouldn't. I've lived in OK for most of the last 62
years. Okies are the most hypocritical people on the planet. You can take that to the bank. I know Tom Coburn (Senate-elect) personally very well since 1969...he knows how much I despise his pontificating self-righteous bullshit, and I know how much the idiots here love his (and Chimp's) far-right, homophobic, exclusive positions. It's worse than you can possibly imagine.

4. Widely covered; you missed it.
Current opinion is there was some goof-up with cock-fighting results (if I remember right) from a previous election; alternatively, I think, there's a minority opinion that the Tulsa World was right and the cock-fighting results are a ruse to cause us to write it all off as a mistake.

In any event, the posted election results for that issue were dead-ringers with the Tulsa World figures.

Go figure.

5. With All Due Respect To Tulsa World
It wasn't really their fault. It was just a little oversight.

They went to find the results for BUSH but accidentally pulled out the ones for COCK.
