Yeeeeeha! Recount requested for Donna Frye
I just heard Donna Frye's attorney on the Stacy Taylor show (a local San Diego program on Air America). He said a hand recount has been requested. If the Registrar won't comply voluntarily and count all ballots that have Donna's name written in (but without the bubble filled in), he said a lawsuit will be filed.

People who observed the initial machine count (when those ballots were NOT counted) estimate there are 4,000 to 5,000 of these disputed ballots--more than enough to overcome the 2,100 point gap separating Democrat Frye from Republican Mayor Dick Murphy.
