County Democrats urge presidential vote investigation

The Lincoln County Democratic Central Committee on Wednesday voted
unanimously to write Senators Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Gordon Smith (R-OR)
and Congresswoman Darlene Hooley (D-5th Dist.) and urge "urge an
immediate and thorough investigation into extensive voting
irregularities occurring nationwide during the November 2, 2004,
election," which, the Democrats stated, raised "grave doubts as to the
validity of the election." They also decided to send a copy of the
letter to the Democratic National Committee.

According to county party chair Connie Lonsdale, the claimed
irregularities included:

* Numerous reports of efforts to delay or discourage voting or
actually purge voter registrations in predominantly African-American
and low-income districts;

* Precincts in Ohio showing vote counts ten times higher than the
number of registered voters;

3. Go, Oregon Democrats! Kick!
Yes, yes, yes! That's the kind of fighting spirit we want to see in the Democratic Party!

California Dems--Dems everywhere--WAKE UP!

A great crime was committed Nov. 2. The evidence that our election system was a fraud going in, and that Bush Inc. took advantage of the SECRET source code in the electronic voting machines that are owned by their supporters, has become overwhelming--and the suppression of black and other minority voters in Ohio and Florida is the most disgraceful thing we've seen since the "poll tax."

The Democratic leaders need to acknowledge their failure in letting rightwing Republican Bush "Pioneers" gain control of our election system. They need to implement a "scorched earth" policy against Republican officials who used their office to commit blatant, massive crimes against minority voters. And they need to fight like hell to overturn this election, and to RESTORE our right to vote.

Show some leadership like the Oregon Democrats! Come on! It's time! It's TIME!

5. How about everyone
sending this story to their county Dem heads with a note to have them "match" the actions of this brave Oregon County?
