First thing - Luv you guys. I'm so happy I found DU.

Second: Let's start getting together local contact sheets with phone #'s and e-mail addresses of other DUers in our local communities. The 51 Capital March this Sun. at Noon is a great place to begin this. Think of a way to ID yourself to other DUers. Remember a lot of us Internet date and that's a lot creepier than sharing e-mail addresses with other DUers.

Reasons: Some people have raised the specter of *Inc. shutting down the Internet(s). If that ever happened, our movement is over. We won't be able to run crying to Skinner to save our butts. Face it guys, if * actually is still squatting in the White House come Jan., the Eye of Sauron will be fixed upon us. We're the ones who have dragged this shadowy stinking fraud into the light of day.

So let's be PROACTIVE and start getting to know each other in the real world. PLUS - the fun of having get-togethers at the local pub sounds like a great reason to me to start this up.

It would be nice if we in Alaska could f****** DRIVE to our f****** state capital instead of having to FLY there. Grrr........:grr:
