Instead of hosting the video as it is, I think you should create a .torrent tracker for the video and host it on bittorrent. That way everyone who downloads it will become a seeder and therefore reduce the bandwidth load on you personally.

What was that? Seeder?

Basically anyone who begins downloading or has downloaded the file will automatically start hosting, or "seeding", the bits and pieces that he has to anyone else who wants to download the file. This makes it so that everyone, not just the original file hoster or people who have completed the whole file, are contributing bandwidth to spread the file.

I'm sure we can ask ohio_liberal for permission to post it there. Sounds like a good idea. Welcome to DU!

I must have a hijack on board because I kept getting a "second thoughts" browser download window with the wmv file. The rm file worked just fine for me though.

He came across as a credible witness. He worked for Exxon and NASA. I can't wait to get some feedback from the Committee. This should be a very interesting couple of days.

I wish I had the whole video so you all could judge for yourself. One, he was talking about a man who was involved in some kind of espionage and referred to him as a "little Chinese guy". It happens that there was an Asian-American man shooting video about 10 feet away from him. You should've seen the man's face when he said that. The second thing that is that he giggled and snickered while giving his testimony. I know that it might just be a nervous habit but it struck me as strange.

I didn't notice any giggling on the video, but you're right, it was probably nervous laughter. Surely there was nothing funny about what he was saying?

The most important issue we face as a nation is election reform. In the 2004 election, 80% of the votes nationwide were counted on machines made by two companies that support the Republican Party, many of which produced no paper trail that could be checked in a recount. There was also documented widespread voter suppression based on race and party affiliation. A bill was introduced in Congress to outlaw the paperless voting machines but the Republican Party prevented the bill from coming to a vote. I did a google on "free video hosting" and some things came up. but I don't have the time to try all of them, read through all their rules about bandwidth, etc.

If anyone knows of a place to host video for cheap or free please let me know. We'll need this more than once I'd expect.

Otherwise it's just going to take some money. I can pay for more bandwidth on my site... I may need to provide a way for people to donate money and then we could make it happen.
