CJ@MSNBC.com Wants your story of the year read on...
CJ at MSNBC says; "Tell us in 200-300 words what you think the "The Story of the Year" was. You can send us more than one".

Perhaps someone else may want to share their,"Story Of The Year"
and be a citizen journalist? send to- CJ@MSNBC.com.

My story of the year sent to CJ was:

"Voters Refile Challenge Of Presidential Results Challenge"

Backed By Jesse Jackson

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Voters who said problems with voting machines Nov. 2 indicated fraud refiled a request with the Ohio Supreme Court on Friday to overturn the presidential results.

The 40 voters cite reports of machine errors, double-counting of some ballots and a shortage of voting machines in predominantly minority precincts as reasons to throw out the election results.

The challenge is backed by the Reverend Jesse Jackson and Cliff Arnebeck, a Columbus attorney for the Massachusetts-based Alliance for Democracy, who accused the campaign of President Bush of "high-tech vote stealing."

1. Fabulous -- Challenge to the Presidential Election Results
You are absolutely right -- that is not only the story of the year, it may be the story of the century! At least the new century. That petition may just save democracy for our children's future. Have you read it? It's incredible!

Yes we can!

I think my story of the year will be the sloppiness in journalism. Just look at this eyecatching line: "At MSNBC, we want to know— what was the story of the year was for you?"

"What makes a good Citizen Journalist report?
As a Citizen Journalist, we expect the same from you as we do the entire MSNBC staff: Submissions must be accurate and objective. In order to uphold the journalistic integrity, you must remove any personal biases from the story. (Opinions can be sent to one of the blog e-mail addresses. Commentary on MSNBC TV air/coverage/anchors must be sent to viewerservices@msnbc.com)

So what makes a good story, you ask? A good story presents a balanced group of facts on a subject that is newsworthy. You should write about something may merit press attention, but more importantly, it should be interesting, informative, or enjoyable to a broad audience.

Entries should also address the ‘who’, ‘what’, ‘where’, ‘when’, and ‘why’ questions and supply sufficient evidence accordingly. Don't ever feel the need to over-hype anything; a strong, well-written story will stand out alone.

Reports should be between 300-400 words. Please include contact information for yourself and sources (if there are relevant ones)."
