Teaching FREEPERS English

I have noticed that there are several different posters on the DU boards that write using the same horrendous grammar, mangled sentence structure and regional colloquial phrases. I first noticed the pattern after reading a few very odd and illogical requests for donations. It leads me to believe that there is one person writing under several names in an effort to disrupt, distract and mislead the discussions taking place on the boards.

I just wanted to post this so others might take a second look at posts that appear odd or make attacks using vaguely attributed sources. I think you will find the similarities stunning. It amuses me to think that after reading my post the "mystery" poster might actually try to learn English in an attempt to mask their operation.

Sometimes grammar, misuse, mispellings are due to brisk typing rate. I'm suspicious of donation request threads unless they redirect to a credible source.

If they want to vote for less $$$ for education and the exporting of their jobs, we should embrace that. Unfortunately in the long run, we won't be able to understand what they are saying because they will be speaking in Tongues instead of English.

Education and correct English does not equate to wisdom, There are tons of wise farmers,
with little education, who have survived and flourished. At least thats what I tell myself for sleeping, in the library during High school. The easiest way for me to spot "Creepers", they seem to use a number reference in their names. The posts, they make provoke extraneous conversation, pull focus, attempt to pull personal information,(that one scares me) and frustrate people searching for the truth.

Frustration isn't limited to PH D's. People who, would not normally step up, because of a poor rudimentary skills, ARE. AND, from my reads, making a difference.

I ain't no freeper. I post only as btmlndfrmr.

Now, break out that red pencil and rip me apart. Have at it.

of calling out freepers. Any post that calls someone directly will be deleted, and most forums discussing it get locked.

I suppose its fair, as there is only conjecture as to who is and who is not. There is no way to absolutely distinguish an attitude problem from a clandestine motivation.

Share the speculation, observation and information while you can!

You can't trust anyone with a number reference in their name.

I never can comprehend these "I think we've all seen..." or "I've noticed over the past few days" posts. Most of this is just individual perception.

This is flamebait and inappropriate for this forum. It has led to and will continue to lead to the inevitable public accusations and counteraccusations which is the incorrect way to deal with disruptors.

If you see a particular post that leads you to believe the poster is a troll then please hit the alert button and state your reasons for alerting and the moderators will examine it in light of the poster's entire record. That is the correct method of dealing with disruptors.
