From the Guardian, Cheney "declared the election
a broad nationwide victory" and pointed out George Bush had won the "greatest number of popular votes of any presidential candidate in history"

Does this mean Kerry got the second largest number in history?

1. Cheney conveniently neglected to mention another record for Bush
He also had the highest number of people voting AGAINST a sitting president.

2. More Americans voted against * than any sitting president in history
says Howard Dean. It cut both ways, cheney.

By the way, Olbermann reported tonight that cheney says the vote is a MANDATE. That gives me full body chills.

3. HIGHEST votes for a *challenger*
And it's irrelevant, anyway. More people voted! And as the population increases, candidates get more and more votes.

Kill this before it spreads! Remember Gore & the internet!

7. Kerry got more votes than Ronald Reagan, therefore Kerry is more popular!
We should put John Kerry on the dime and Mt. Rushmore because he got more votes than Ronald Reagan.

Tell everyone you know that Kerry got more votes than Ronald Reagan!
