Is Bush insintance on Iraq's election a ploy to divert from vote fraud?
What do you think? everyone and his brother wants a delay of the Iraq election because it's just too damn dangerous because of recent increase of attacks and the death rate due to what Bush says are "insurgents" afraid of bringing them freedom? -- I say Bush bullsh*t!

How many have to die because Bush says he see's no reason why the elections shouldn't take place as schedualed!

1. when has bush listened to anyone
he is having the election because he thinks this will legitmize the government of iraq and he can say we are successfull, regardless of the chaos obstruction or cheating in election, just like home, just like afghanistan. bush doesnt care what reality is. they create their reality and people buy into it

4. And...
What about their obsession with Ukraine?

Is it possible that no one in the world can hold a fair election except Australia and Canada? Or is it just a coincidence that all of these "shenanigaii" have something to do with the BFEE?

Tin Foil Hats On! (at a jaunty angle please)

5. Diebold / Iraq
From what I hear, the election in Iraq is all paperless diebold machines.

6. I thought W's statement on the Ukraine was brilliant. Damn.
W got right out in front of the election fraud in the Ukraine, calling for free, open, and transparent voting. He thus positioned himself in the average American mind as the #1 US politician in favor of honest electoral processes as the very foundation of democracy.

I seem to have missed the top Democratic leadership getting to this first -- or even right after Bush said it. On our side it's all been reactive to Bush rather than proactively and publicly making the comparison between the Ukraine and the US.

8. Because It Came From Powell!
Just look at Karzai's reelection and you know that Dubya has decided that Allawi stays in. You're right, though, that it's an excellent headline distraction from the January 6 challenge.

9. The bigest problem with Iraq elections.
Edited on Sat Dec-25-04 09:44 PM by Higans
The Iraqs don't have any more fath in vapor votes then we do. If they don't get a fair election in Jan, then you can kiss any hope of peace good buy. I am afraid that elections will be so transparently false as they are here that the Iraqs will know they have been cheeted. Duh. and this stupid war continues.

We the people have figured out the elections are rigged! Hello! Can you here us?

10. Regardless of Bush's intentions, even a fledgling democracy
in the middle-east would be the first in entire history of
that region. About time the middle-east joined the rest of the
civilized world.
