1. It Seems That Way

It was like the dream where you are flying to some place exotic and moments before the plane lands .....IT CRASHES......to me it felt like that.....

It still feel like my Dad had died all over again.

2. Yep. The loss is still fresh.

I remember checking Slate right before I left work - everything was kinda rosy for me driving home.

I sat at the computer, watching the TV for hours...then things started to go a little sour.

Then MSNBC kicked me in the stomach and called some states for *. "This cannot be right!", I cried. And it wasn't.

3. WAS IT ALL A DREAM ?

If it was, then we all must have been having the same dream. I checked Zogby before going to the classroom to teach my 4 pm class. I was so anxious to check the results after class that I logged onto Zogby at about 5:00 p.m. (ignoring my guest speaker who was talking with students). No change. I went upstairs to my office and checked Zogby one more time -- and BINGO -- Kerry 311 to Bush 213. I knew that we had done exactly what I had been working and hoping for for years -- we had won in such a huge landslide that they could not possibly steal it out from under us. I even said as much to several friends before I went to the store to buy M&M's for the victory party.

I watched the election coverage for several hours - confused. Felt sick. Still thought that by morning everything would sort itself out. I woke up in the morning knowing: I had been wrong. We had won in a landslide and they had stolen it out from under us.

By the way, did you phrase the question this way because you remember the opening of Fahrenheit 9/11?

4. Interesting reading Slates article about the Exit Polls and why they
posted them for their readers. Now that WaPo is buying Slate I guess they will be "lock step" in their love for Bush with WaPo....but thanks for posting this article from Election Day...it does make one wonder doesn't it.....why won't anyone release the Polling Data from ll/2...:eyes:
