Jane Pauley will be talking about a "paper clip" school project tomorrow
on her show. I just saw a small snip of a promo for it. It appears that a class collected 6 million paper clips -- one for each person lost during the holocast.

Perhaps we should write her and add our current efforts to her list?

7. Thanks I sent the show the info from the link I hope she adds it.
I just told her that there was a 2004 version going on now. I then copied the first paragraph from the site and provided a link.
I also downloaded the cards for myself.
I wear blue paperclips as a bracelet I got from staples. I'm also going to put a large standard sheet of paper sized clip in my car window.

17. This is a really old story.
Not the Jane Pauley part, but the story about the school collecting paper clips. Why in Jane bringing it up now?

May 24, 2001 CNN link: http://cnnstudentnews.cnn.com/2001/fyi/teachers.ednews/05/24/paperclip.project.ap/

BTW, from my useless trivia pile... it's not in this story, but I remember reading at the time that the school had to move the project from the original 2nd floor class room to a first floor room because the weight of the paper clips was causing the floor to buckle. I'll see if I can find that story again.
