Is C-Span covering Congress on Jan 6th? Does anyone know for sure?
I haven't seen anything on here (did i miss it?) about whether C-Span or any other channels will be covering this historic event on Jan. 6th? I remember such discussions about C-span covering, then not covering, Conyers Hearings. Does anyone know for sure? .. and/or should we be contacting media to be focusing on this?

3. thanks. looks like we didn't need a whole new thread on this...
.. but didn't know, so thought i should ask. thanks again. sure hope there's 'no such thing as a stupid question' on DU, otherwise I'd be feeling a little embarrassed right now for asking one.

We come here because most of us are fighting for our democracy. No question is stupid. Some people will give you crap - but remember it is their problem.

I have only two complaints 1) freepers, and 2) people you state a fact without providing a source - links are *required*!

Welcome and help us fight!

edit: spelling

11. I was watching c-span and...
in between shows, they tell of furture programming. I *did* not see it on their schedule, but rather on an actual broadcast.

I know it stinks to state a fact without proof but I did see it during a broadcast. They also mentioned that the 'new' congress will start up and that too will be televised.

Maybe it would not hurt to re-enforce our desire to see the Electoral College on Jan 6th by calling them...

12. I have launched a action item on USVIP
I am mailing tomorrow to the http://www.usvip.org mailing list and will ask folks (among other things) to call CSPAN.

I'd urge other folks to do the same.

2. The way I figure it - they would be anyway
even NOT anticipating a monumental event.

6. maybe a good reason to NOT be calling them about it?
..or they might change their minds. (lol) seriously though, C-spanners must already KNOW somethings up though, wouldn't you think?

4. Yes, they were even advertising the fact that creepy Cheney will be
there. I couldn't get the channel off soon enough when I saw him! It is an outrage that criminals like that can walk the street and not be prosecuted for their crimes.

8. me too. (watching it) sad that I can't be there in my Orange Jumpsuit and
top hat, like I wasn't at NYC last night either. I live in Oregon, and love it here (we actually have paper mail-in ballots all, and they are all counted, and our official results jived with exit polls. imagine that. downside is being so far from DC when these kind of things happen. arrggghh.

9. thanks for posting
for the reminder to watch it on C-Span that day. Looking forward to the reactions of everyone here at DU--and reports from those in DC. We will see what is meant by "Democracy" that day.
