EFG>What is your BEST CASE scenario if one senator stands?
Let me just say that I have NO DOUBT in my mind the BFEE stole this thing. I believe they padded the numbers all over the country. (I believe the recall here in CA was just a dress rehearsal to see if the e-voting machines would work like they wanted them to. The reason that e-votes are perfect for fraud is because the proof is so hard (mostly impossible) to find, which is why a paper receipt is USELESS! we need to GET RID OF THESE THINGS and not be a bunch of lazy babies who can't hand count an election.)

I also believe the recount in OH was completely compromised, and the proof lies in the blatant attempt by numberous GOP ops from Blackwell, to the judges, to the Diebold techs, to stop/compromise a hand recount - just like FL in 2000.

WHY DO THEY OBJECT TO A FAIR RECOUNT IF THEY BELIEVE THEIR GUY WON?? DON'T THEY WANT THEIR WIN TO BE AN HONEST ONE??????

The discrepancy of exit polls are enough in every other country on the planet to be used as evidence of fraud - but not here. WTF????

However - with the MSM burrowed so far up the GOP's colon, and the three branches of government ruled by one party, effectively castrating all other political opposition, and rendering this a ONE PARTY GOVERNEMENT (Saddam would be proud), I just can't envision five minutes of debate, let alone TWO WHOLE HOURS.... and if we get that, then what?

So: my question is: WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING ON THURSDAY? Conyers and the Black Caucus and whomever else has grown a pair in the House stand and challenge the electoral votes from (hopefully more than just Ohio, but I"ll take anything at this point - it should be ALL E-Votes and ALL E-vote counters)..... and even ONE SENATOR joins them....

....WHAT HAPPENS NEXT???

cheer me up, but please be realistic and serious.

2. a discrepency
of three votes per precinct would have stolen it and given the 3.5 mill extra votes.

oh and other countries don't "FIX" their exit polls either.

3. The people's choice is eventually inaugurated...
And the Bush administration is handed over for prosecution of war crimes. Chances of this happening: 1:1 trillion. But hey, Bush got the popular vote with those same odds. ;)

6. In a perfect world..
And why not fight for a perfect world? Best possible case: it opens more eyes to the fraud and reduces even further an pretense to legitimacy of the * admin.
But most importantly, it shows the people who voted against * and/or are fighting the fraud that they have representation.

7. Damn right!
I will always work for perfection, while realizing it will never happen. There's nothing better to strive for, though!

4. The answer is within your own post.
>> and the three branches of government ruled by one party, effectively castrating all other political opposition, and rendering this a ONE PARTY GOVERNEMENT (Saddam would be proud)<<

This says it all. Even if a Senator stands up, the outcome of the election will not change. Since the majority in the branches of Government are republicans, the vote would come out for Bush. There is no way around it.

I'm sure everyone will want a re-vote if fraud is proven, but that is not the way the constitution is set up.

The best we can hope for is, at least one senator contesting the election, and that fraud or irregularities are proven. When this is out on the table, the other side may wake up, and work on voting reform, because their vote could be effected next time.

5. Just making sure
Are we sure we have a Congressman who's agreed to our cause?

Second, will Pat Leahy try it? He's about the bravest sole around (spare Feingold). Maybe Jim Jeffords would be worth asking.

8. Our performance in front of the media must be pristine
The best case would be that the media actually cover an event as momentous as an election challenge.

Given a rare opportunity to actually be heard, the Democratic oration would need to be compelling, convincing and powerful enough to gain the American public's attention.

The press enjoys controversy and calamity even more than kissing right wing ass, and every Republican Senator knows that if the story is live and sexy, the scrutiny they would face would then force them to hastily choose between their own careers and their party loyalty.

If the case is made, and the public hears it, Bush would be doomed, either immediately with a constitutional crisis, or eventual impeachment.

That's BEST case, and only if the media comes to the table.
