Boxer will Join Conyers if enough calls
Subject: brookline-announce Barbara Boxer will join Conyers if enough calls!

Please make a call or two to Barbara Boxer's office-- there
is the possibility that she will be the One senator that will
do the right thing and not certify the election-- thus opening
a large and public examination of the election, especially
in Ohio, which, even if it doesn't replace Bush as the
winner of the election, will nevertheless raise the pressure
considerably to have a paper trail and other reasonable
election reforms, so badly needed if we are to have any
semblance of a democracy ongoing -- AH

ps. please send to your friends in CA as well, thanks!

Barbara Boxer will join Conyers if enough calls!
by ssteuer
Tue Jan 4th, 2005 at 12:11:03 PST

Hi folks.
Barbara Boxer apparently told a group of 20 women meeting with her that if she gets enough people asking her to do it, she WILL be the senator to join Rep. Conyers.
Pease call one of the numbers below -- I just called the toll-free capital switchboard number and operator said Boxer's voicemail there is full!

Please call her and pass the word!!!
ESPECIALLY if you live in California!

Just came from a group which gathered at Senator Barbara Boxer's Office here in Fresno. There were about 20 of us representing Fresno, Visalia, Porterville and Springville. It was awesome since they had to come to Fresno through the rain... We were told that Senator Boxer was willing to be the Senator who will ask for the re-election in Ohio provided she sees numbers. This is a grassroots effort and it depends on each of us to pass this information on. (see below for offices and phone numbers)

Update 2005-1-4 18:41:13 by ssteuer: I neglected to say this came through my ACT action network... there is no link...but Boxer's office has been receptive...

from pontificator comment below: just called the Sacramento office. The person who answered the phone said that Senator Boxer was definitely looking for input on the issue. I stated that I had volunteered extensively for Kerry this election cycle, and would like to see her object to the electoral vote count so that we can more fully investigate evidence of voter suppression that have come to light in recent weeks.

1. I just faxed her Sacramento and San Diego offices...
and sent a letter to her DC office over two weeks ago. Here in San Diego activists are holding friendly sit-ins at her office. They said her staff is very receptive to them.

Please take a few minutes to place a fax or call to her office, ESPECIALLY if you are from California.

PS. Be nice to her staff! All you have to do is show your support, not write a PHD thesis on election fraud. They already have more information on the subject than they can handle.

13. Just called; here's a form message
Just sent the following to ca. 600 folks:

Please call or fax Sen. Barbara Boxer's office(s) a.s.a.p. to urge her to join in objecting to the Ohio electors tomorrow! I understand she's stated she'll do so if she gets enough calls.

And pls forward this IMMEDIATELY to anyone you know who lives in California!

I just got through and said this: "I want to urge Senator Boxer to object to the certification of the Ohio electors tomorrow, both because I believe the evidence shows massive fraud in Ohio, and also to bring attention to the critical need for election reform. Although I am not a constituent of Senator Boxer, if she joins in objecting tomorrow, she will be a hero to me and many thousands of others across the nation who view election reform as a top priority."

Here's her contact info:

16. May I ask that people keep kicking this?
At least for the rest of the day, until tomorrow when the time is up, can we keep kicking this? This is HUGE! We may actually have senator do this! But we need to make plenty of phone calls. So, maybe we can keep this kicked up until tomorrow?

of Florida, so I called Senator Boxer. Was able to get through to only the LA office. I'll keep trying other senators. Can't think of a better way to use all of my rollover minutes.

26. Go to this site
http://miamedia.com/news/2004-12-28.efax.your.senator.html

And efax your senator. It says in the small print that you can only do 5 per 24 hours, but if you have multiple email accounts, like I do (I used the kids as well), you can send it to everyone listed.

Go for it DUers.
