Rep. Maxine Waters: "I don't care that it is not signed by a senator"

IMO, the Dem Senators aren't going to allow a deja vu of the US Electoral College vote in the 2k election.

F911 brought this to the public circle, many were embarrassed by the lack of action taken.

I hope tomorrow will be a day of redemption!

8. couldn't agree more

yesterday I watched the swearing in ceremony of Mel Watt and his remarks made me think about our uphill battle regarding fair elections. Every African American in our country and especially those 50 and older have faced that uphill battle every single day of their lives, so I agree we could take a lesson or two from the CBC, they are a commendable group of courageous people. Mel said the key is to never stop trying, so that is the key for us and for life in general, it is Jesse Jackson's creedo as well, keep hope alive!

I hope to be surprised-but I really don't hold out any hope. After all, it was incredibly blatent in 2000, and Wellstone did not even say anything. The Dems have turned into a party of "Go along to get along" types. I can't think of Dem with a spine in the senate now.
