8. Tasty!
"We've got to make sure that Ohio doesn't go down as some glitch. We've got to examine this. And the only prospect we have for doing it is to challenge the electoral vote coming from OH and force the congress to see that there needs to be a congressional investigation with far more resources to determine the extent of the action... and then take action to make sure it doesn't happen anymore.... Trying to make sure the voting process in every state, not just OH, is as good as it can be."

9. Randi sez:
Sentators have to be argued to. If they don't use what political capital they have tomorrow they'll never get to take it out for a spin. Because we're the minority party. If they don't band together all 45 of them and put their necks on a line. America's democracy hanging by a thread.

10. The purpose of the Contesting of the Votes is to force Congressional
Hearings on Election reform, and expose all irregularities.

Sounds like the Challenge is NOT to overturn the election, but to force hearings to take place.

19. Wwhich makes perfect sense.
If the senators can be convinced, and the corporate media has to cover the event, the public will become aware.

It will be so much harder to dismiss the Arnebeck suit as "silly" after that.

So there may come a true investigation in Congress or in the suit.

Let the Light shine.

13. Draw down W's "political capital"
YEAH!!!!! Love that Conyers is bringing up the "coincidence" that in last 2 elections, it was one state with voting problems (and with SOS heading Jackass' campaign) that put him over the line? NO COINCIDENCE!

14. Randi says we have to challenge to lessen Shrub's
political capital.

Conyers: Bush was "Elected twice by one state each time, and each of those two states had the most irregularities and problems with the voting process more than any other state in the union."

Randi: Notes that SOS of both states were also head of elect Shrub campaign.

Conyers is pushing for "a half dozen" members of the Senate. "You don't have to be from OH to worry about fair elections."

16. More...talking about long lines, lack of machines...
"We've got to make sure Ohio doesn't go down as some "glitch""

"The only prospect we have is to force the Congress to challenge Ohio"

"Take action to make sure it doesn't happen anymore"

About senators:
"Well, their answer is essentially the same...that Kerry has conceded the election......"sour grapes""

"Isn't unusual and more than coincidental that we have one President that is elected twice by one state...."

"You don't need to be from Ohio to want to have this examined."

"They misinterpreted the provisional ballot."

outpouring of protest on the 20th will further reduce Bush*'s political capital to deficit country.

I do believe a loud signal from the PEOPLE will be what sends the matter over the edge.

32. Randi: Lessen the Repugs' clout in the 109th
right off the bat with a contest. If we want to take some wind out of their sails and get them off their "high horses" a bit, this would be a great way to do it -- a contest right out of the gate.

55. Randi is wonderful but she sucks at interviewing, she always talks all
over her guests. Conyers is soft spoken and slow speaking so it is even more obvious that Randi can't keep quiet. I love her anyway. The most important sentences got through. Conyers thinks we have a senator, and he implied more than one!!!!!!!!!!!
