Reid's office wanted to know which election we wanted contested
They acted as if they were ignorant about concerns about the 2004 election.

3. Jeebus, can you IMAGINE the top Repug leader NOT KNOWING
which election????

WTF?? You would think the DNC would get someone to help coordinate all the info with Conyers and then distribute it to ALL Democratic members!

I can't believe this! On second thought, yes I can. It's pretty obvious there are very few people there who actually give a shit about what their constituents are concerned about.

5. When I read that,
I felt this overwhelming sense of weariness. Do we have to spell out EVERYTHING for these people?

But then I thought, well, maybe there are several elections they have their eye on. Cool. They're on really top of things.

But then I thought yeah, right, the Democratic leadership on top of things?

7. What number did you call?
Please let us know what phone number you used. I want to call the same office and see if they do the same thing to me.

And if they do, I'm going to rip into them like a chainsaw.

17. I called and got a different (better?) response.
Ok, thanks. I called the Las Vegas office. (An office which is still open, BTW, since it's in the Pacific time zone and can be reached at 702-388-5020. /hint )

The staffer I spoke with didn't play coy. However, she indicated that they have been getting calls from both sides -- people supporting his contesting the Ohio electors, and people opposing.

At least I got to make her the audience of my little speech.

12. Don't forget, Reid's own state, Nevada, is on the list
of highly questionable election results. They are getting calls for questioning the legitimacy of the Electoral College results there too.

What the staffer asked was a legitimate question.

11. You should have said his election!
He obviously is too stupid to be Dem. leader in the Senate.

15.  rhite5 has a good point. They probably meant which state, not
which year or office.

18. you need to call this number NOW! I just got off the phone with them
and they were positive, said they'd received lots of calls today and before this.

(202) 224-3542 or you can call the central switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and ask for Reid's office there in DC. They will patch you to it.
