Dems who vote "no" today need to know that we, the rank and file are watching and are not amused.

13. But it does leave them open to accusations of waffling if they
speak so forcefully and then vote "no."

They know they can't overturn the election, so what's the harm in voting "yes," especially the people who aren't up for election in 2006. Some of them are safe till 2010, for goodness' sake.

15. Not overturned! Hoping to disqualify the Ohio votes!
Kerry still wouldn't have won but Blackwell and crooked Ohio could have been punished!

17. Not the point - the yes votes are protest and solidarity votes
Edited on Thu Jan-06-05 03:04 PM by glitch
they should be ashamed, again.
The CBC is putting them to shame and they don't even have the hearts and minds to see it.

21. Not to overturn the election, no.But they could protest and vote yes.
I may change my registration today. Unless anyone can give my a good reason why not to. It would NOT have hurt them to support Boxer.

27. I'm with you
I didn't expect much - but why not a few brave souls to vote yes

maybe because there are no brave souls in the Senate besides Barbara Boxer?

Do you honestly think ANYONE in the Senate wants to go up against the wall with a challenge? This is how the system works.

God forbid we should have an overwhelming majority of Dems in Congress willing to put their butts on the line for the sake of democracy!
