And why should we accept election results from "buggy" voting machines?

It works like this:

A vote for Kerry:
KerryTotal = KerryTotal + 1

A vote for bush:
BushTotal = BushTotal + 4

it all works perfectly as designed!

On edit: This is closely related to the math used by republican congressmen to calculate budgets.

7. actually, the ATM's *do* screw up,
but the bank just eats the loss, part of the price of doing business. We don't have that luxury with our precious one-time elections, however. :grr:
