What if we all sent barbara boxer a few dollars tomorrow
for her next campaign. A million dollar war chest 6 years ahead of time as a show of support from americans who appreciate her stand for them.

Wouldn't that make news. . . and show that what she did today was far from political suicide and in fact helps win her next election for her.

1. I really like that idea!
I went to her site to look for a way to donate, but couldn't find any info. Do you know the best way to do this? A web link? An address?

thanks.

17. it's not like she has requested it. . . but its a gift she can use . . .
against them. I fee that it should be shown that what she did today somehow has "political capital".

campaign donations are good, but roses are more celebratory. Find the roses thread here.

24. public efficacy of roses
One poster noted the example it would send to have roses flooding the halls of congress. I vote for that plus humanitarian relief, though opt for Congo or general relief over Tsunami for reasons already stated.

?? whom I forgetting ... all stood in support and made their statements part of the historical record.

I mainly watched the House. I did see Obama and Dodd speak. I didn't realize only five spoke before the Senate. Wow. Well, that's better than nothing.

12. I'm sending her a card -- something orange
Maybe a card with nice orange flowers. And a heartfelt handwritten thank you.

I already sent email thanks to her at http://capwiz.com/fmf1/mail/oneclick_compose/?alertid=6790091 but I think a handwritten note would be good, too.

I'll send them to all of the yea votes in the house, too.

18. excellent idea.
But we have to find a way to get the PRESS to pay attention to it. Who is a PR person and can do a press release?

Maybe we need a PR person for this whole thing. Lots of press releases sent to the media....

Explaining what they are not getting.

Just a hunch. I'd assume that African American representatives in Ohio are not that well funded, but that California senators would be.

23. I just called her L.A. office . . . .
and they told me that there is no way for them to accept money since there is no campaign fund.

Then they tried to forward me to the Democratic party because they can always take money.

My response. . . . ha, ha ,ha, they haven't EARNED it! Boxer DID!

28. For Sen. Boxer, a pledge of support for her Presidential run in 2009
And, for Barbara Boxer, I am sending a letter pledging financial support for her Presidential campaign in 2009. Don't know whether or not she has aspirations, but she is the only member of the 109th Senate that I would support in a primary.

I think I'll cc the rest of the members of the 109th Senate. Let them know who I WON'T support in a primary.
