Those poor Florida Democrats
Can someone explain why this is?

Democrats hold a nearly 400,000 edge in registered voters and have access to nearly 2-million more who have expressed no party choice and should be open to persuasion. Yet after Tuesday, U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson is the only Democrat holding statewide office. Republicans enjoy a nearly 2-1 ratio in the state Senate and a better ratio in the House.

Let's assume for the sake of argument it's not fraud. What else could it be?

1. Maybe we should ask Bill Nelson :)
Astounding, isn't it. My apologizies to the good Floridians out there, but I'm not touching your state with a 10 foot pole (or more accurately, a 3,000 mile pole).

2. wasn't it pretty close in 2000
so the new voter reg. surge must of been strongly favoring us...all the more reason to leave fraud as only possibility.

3. Floridians responsibility: you didn't kick jeb out in 2002!
You squabled over that Mcbride a*hole, who, like Kerry ignored voter fraud in those primaries, blacks stayed home and you set yourselves up for this.

Famous last words:
"I have no time for those crying in your teacups for stolen elections"

4. Hey, MANY of us wanted Jeb out...
We held him off to give Lawton Chiles another term, and we tried like hell to get Bill McBride elected.

OTOH, I'll say this - the Nation sure got the worst Bush. I disagree vehemently with many of Jeb's policies, but he's an order of magnitude brighter than W - and crucially, I don't think he's anywhere NEAR the fundy W is.

I crawled across cut glass to get Castor and Kerry elected, but I guess I underestimated the fear and morality vote.

In my 2.5 hour wait to vote, I was pretty sure we were split 50/50 in Hillsborough County. But if you look at the Amendments here - Parental Notification, etc - they ALL passed with around 64% of the vote.

Mindless automatons seeking out the letter "R".
