Glitch Found in Ohio Counting
By JOHN SCHWARTZ

Published: November 6, 2004

n electronic voting machine in hotly contested Ohio added 3,893 votes to President Bush's tally in a suburban Columbus precinct, even though there are just 800 voters there.

The error was discovered in preliminary vote counts from Tuesday night, and local officials say it would have been caught in any case and corrected in the final count now under way. But the glitch fed the rumors that have been flying across the Internet since Election Day that results were tipped by high-tech voting machines.

12. The NYTimes article says Franklin County includes Columbus.
Can anybody verify whether his is a new incident? I'm still not sure.

edit: the numbers aren't the same as in the other fuck up... so even though it's the same county, it's not the same.

13. So we have two separate incidents in the same county that
"glitched" an additional 8,000 votes to smirky. What a lucky guy that all these glitches work in his favor. :grr:
