Moveonepac.org urge bush and rnc to disavow voter suppression.
i posted in voting forum, i'll post it here too. i haven't seen this on here. I dont know if it's new or old, anyone know? either way its relivent. They cannot deny the voter suppression, theres video and countless accounts of it....

" I urge you to publicly disavow all forms of voter suppression and to publicly condemn voter suppression activity by your staff and volunteers. "

President Bush and RNC: Disavow Voter Suppression
For years, Republicans have used voter intimidation, misinformation, and other tactics to undermine the votes of blacks and other minorities. It's racist, undemocratic, and fundamentally un-American.

We're joining Julian Bond, Reverend Jesse Jackson, Sr., Representatives Maxine Waters and Jesse Jackson, Jr. and others to demand that it stop. Please join us by signing below.

2. hehe, who knows....I'm happy because.....
there's an organized effort within the democratic party and even the establishment to lobby republicans and force them to deal with voting reform. Notice Kerry's email last week asked his millions to lobby hastert and delay. Notice all the speaches in congress on the 6th were responsible and focused on the obvious, factual, documented problems, and not about overturning the election. Big name's spoke in support, made promises, called out sensible-republicans on an issue essential to the validy of democracy, promised legislation and a focus on voting reform.

3. Done. Here's my message:
Be a true patriot. Be a true American. Disavow all forms of voter suppression, voter disinformation, and voter intimidation. Condemn anyone who engages in these things. Work for federal standards for elections and transparent, verifiable voting.

6. I too got rid of the vaguer wording.
I flat out said the evidence was disturbing. Voter suppression is a fact, not a theory.

5. Here's what I sent.
The evidence of voter suppression targeting poorer precincts, African-Americans and other minorities is disturbing to me, but what is more troubling is the role some Republican officials may have had in this travesty.

Voter suppression is illegal, immoral and a serious blow to the foundation of our democracy. I insist you not only publicly disavow any and all forms of voter suppression, but that you cooperate fully in an investigation into the 2004 election cycle. Should you fail to do so, the perception will be one of complicity.
