3. I believe the rule is
If a vote isn't close enough to require a recount a candidate can request one so long as they put up the money to cover the expense.

2. Nader requested a recount in NH to attempt to prove fraud
Edited on Sat Nov-06-04 06:32 PM by redsoxliberal
NH is refusing because they didn't include a $50,000 check!

What the hell?

EDIT: NH, not Ohio

5. We could raise that money in a day if that's all that's needed
Get ahold of Move On or someone like that. Even if they won't help publicly, their people know the people with money for the left.

6. If Nader is serious, he has the money.
He is expecting someone else to pay for it? Who?

What a laughable farce.

8. Please remember that *I* was the one BEGGING for this --
I assured their team that the money could be found. I am confident that I was correct. :) Meanwhile, I really believe he is "saving the world!" Best, Ida

9. So he could not use his own money for the "cause"?
If the cause was such a noble endeavor, why does he NOT use his own money? I am , for one, drained of all financial resources and all I have is my SS check and that has been a sacrifice. And I am not the only one, I can assure you.

Nope--he has the money--let him sacrifice and use it to save the country.

10. Please go read some of the other threads on this topic.
I know you are burned out at the moment, but its NOT over yet, and being annoyed with Nader who, in my opinion, is SAVING the world with this action, is kind of counter-productive. I could use some help, if you've got the time. I need some e-mails sent to the media to help put some "pressure" on the state Attorney General NOT to deny the request, and make us waste a few days waiting for the decisions, etc. Interested? :) Best, Ida

12. well I have read all of them , all day long
and I know also that you are so hopeful in it all and want it to happen with all of your being.

But still, if Nader is "saving the world", I would think he would at least have some of his own money to contribute instead of bleeding ordinary people for nickels and dimes. It is easy to say you are saving the world when it costs you nothing. Nothing ventured but a rather weak name, nothing gained and he goes his way.

Is it not worth at least ten thousand of his money to spend on saving the world?

14. Is there any "grace period" for whatever "payment" must be in?
I googled my butt off and couldn't find the info...

We're going to be talking more on Monday, and worse case, it can be appealed. But its why I need some help getting some media pressure going in New Hampshire....please see some of the other posts on the topic. :) Keep your hope up! :) Best, Ida

Delay, delay, and then all the way to the Supreme Court and over.

The American press--do I even have to bother to finish the sentence? You know the American media has blood on their hands and have a stake in protecting the coup leaders.

On another thread, it was discussed that the Mirror (UK) was interested in doing a story about the voting irregularities. Could be the only route. They could start a worldwide story. The whole world is at risk if these criminals are allowed to pull this off.
