7. Didn't you love Martin Sheen's introduction, the way he
joked that at least democracy was still alive at the People's Choice Award? That was a great choice to present the award to Michael Moore.

Michael's speech was great.

79. I loved how he supported the troops and families!
See, we can oppose the war AND STILL SUPPORT the troops. I HATE IT WHEN any opposition to the war, or hell even any bush bashing is seen as anti-american. Man that pisses me off. Anyways, he made a great speech!

9. Martin Sheen said he was glad to see democracy was still
alive, at least at The People's Choice Awards. The way he made the introduction it was obvious Michael Moore had won.

Michael was gracious and dedicated the award to the families of those fighting in Iraq. He said not to give up, that this is still our nation, not the lefts or the rights, but our nation. He then promised more F 911s.

It was great! I hope freepers' heads are exploding!!!!!!!!!!!!1

The echo chamber will have a fun time bashing both CBS/Rather and Moore at the same time. The "liberal media" myth will be pushed quite hard.

Question -- How could Michael Moore's left-wing nut-job conspiracy-theorist propanda drivel win the People's Choice award when President Bush, whom he mocks, won by such a landslide and has a mandate? OH, I KNOW -- MM RIGGED THE VOTE. /sarcasm off.

MOORE FUEL TO FIRE (Internet Ballot Stuffing?)
New York Post ^ | 1/10/05 | GERSH KUNTZMAN

Posted on 01/10/2005 1:01:56 AM PST by kattracks

Michael Moore's controversial documentary "Fahrenheit 9/11" picked up the top honors at last night's People's Choice Awards — amid allegations of ballot stuffing via the Internet.
Although he lost to mainstream hit flicks like "Shrek 2" and "Spider-Man 2" at the box office, Moore had the last laugh, taking advantage of the People's Choice Awards' new Internet voting system to enable "Fahrenheit" to trounce those flicks as favorite motion picture.

In year's past, People's Choice winners had been determined by the Gallup Organization, a national pollster. This year, for the first time, "the people" voted online - and Moore used his popular Web site to tell the film's fans that a vote for "Fahrenheit 9/11" was a vote against President Bush.

"He may have been (barely) the people's choice on Nov. 2, but now the people get to vote again, this time for a movie," Moore wrote on his site.

Many left-wing groups — and even Barbra Streisand — linked to Moore's site.

Accepting the award, Moore didn't refer to his call for ballot-stuffing.

"In the Village."
"What do you want?"
"Information."
"Who's side are you on?"
"That would be telling. We want information."
"You won't get it!"
"By hook or by crook, we will."
"Who are you?"
"The new Number 2."
"Who is Number 1?"
"You are Number 6."
"I am not a number, I am a free man!"

(Number 2 laughs at him.)

Loooove The Prisoner! Enjoy.

Timely, too... No?

It's election time in the Village. A new Number Two needs to be elected and Number Six is persuaded to stand. Number Six sets out on his election campaign with many promises to his voters but his aim is to discover who Number One is.

Yes, "Living In Harmony," is great. Hell, they're all great!

I have no idea about Nick's leanings, he is the smarter of the two, maybe he knows enough not to make an face on national tv after the people have voted to award someone a prize.

Wow, he sure looks different. He's taken away a huge Repub talking point against him. They can't just make fun of his weight because lots of Repubs are obese, too.

My only quibble is that I hope he isn't keeping whatever he taped during the election for an "Oh My God!" moment in his next film. I hope he's given any taped evidence of election tampering to Arnebeck, to Conyers, to Kerry, to Edwards.

Okay, I'll stop my blah-blah-blah. Congratulations, Michael Moore! Postive proof that the people want the Truth!

51. So now I guess Scarborough is going to have to do
another whole week with Pat Buchanan about why Passion of the Christ better get the Oscar and not F-9/11....

58. Good. As Maxine Waters put it ........
I thank him for educating the world on the threats to our
democracy and the proceedings of this House on the acceptance of the
Electoral College votes for the 2000 Presidential election.

69. Next for MM...
...he is going to tackle the issue of predatory (and that's being NICE) pharmaceutical and drug companies.

HA!

Kudos for MM. The reich-wingnuts are probably hurling about now. I hope so.

70. I taped and will have to watch tonight,
but I was so glad to hear that he won. I was watching "Desperate Housewives" and "Boston Legal" (oh, I'm so happy Candace Bergen has joined the cast -- she's so great!). Now I can zip through the awards show tonight without watching the commercials. I'm glad he didn't make a jab at Bush (although they did on "Boston Legal") and having Martin Sheen present the award was a genius decision.

75. Thanks so much. That let me see Selleck's & J. Simpson's
sour faces. I loved it.

74. The people chose Freedom, God and Humor. Americans know what is important.
MM's success proves that Americans dont want to be apolitical, they are just too smart to watch the dog crap the MSM feeds them as "news".

I predict a new generation of MM wanna be's who wont have his talent (he is a genius, but who will try to generate news that is of a higher caliber than what we have seen in a while. I have high hopes for Al Gore's new network.

77. W's authorized biography
... will be next year's surprise winner after being released only one month before the awards. They'll have a lot of audience shots looking orgasmic, but the lighting will be different.

82. The weed's "authorized biography" would definitely be a work
of fiction. Do they have a category for that?
