Protecting those who stood up(J.Jackson)
Edited on Tue Jan-11-05 12:52 PM by insane_cratic_gal
I just read this off the election update for today. This NLPC

Looks like Jesse Jackson is being targeted.

Flaherty commented, “I am encouraged that the NYSE has now apparently met our request to cut off Jackson. It looks like the Exchange takes corporate ethics seriously. One of the last vestiges of Richard Grasso’s failed legacy has been swept away.”

On September 29, 2003, NLPC urged then-interim NYSE Chairman John Reed to “cease and desist” from further NYSE support for Jackson. On October 23, 2003, media reports indicated that the NYSE had denied Jackson use of the Exchange floor for a fundraising gala connected to the 2004 Wall Street Conference, but that it would remain a financial supporter.

On January 12, 2004, Flaherty wrote incoming NYSE CEO John Thain applauding the denial of Jackson’s use of the Exchange floor, but stating that continued financial support of Jackson’s groups was “unacceptable.”

Quite simply he doesn't like Dems. Maybe it's time we start to push back. I'm tired of being pushed around by these assholes.

2. I was looking for connections
For Flaherty, he accuses Dems mostly of taking money.

527's Moveon.Org, Enron donated money. He ignores the 97,000 donated to Reps from Voting corps. (of course)

He completely over looks Bush inc! What about Swiftboat assholes? You think he's investigating that? How much did they donated to Bush's campagin?

I'm looking for Mud to sling. He wants to villianze Hillary, Jackson, he appears on O'reilly. I wrote him a rather nasty letter asking where his bread was buttered. He's going after Viacom for the CBS Dan Rather docs?? Little biased aren't we?

I guess we can start by emailing the bastard with some interesting leads on Elections 2004. Some questionable campagins for George Bush. Also anything Questionable about Flatherty you can find.

Here is who he is investigating.

Rep. James Moran (D)
Sen. Maria Cantwell (D)
Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D)
Rep. Jon Fox (D)
Sen. Joe Lieberman (D)

you get the idea.

Email him some kind words to begin with and we'll take it from there.
Remind him just how twisted the fucking moral Repubs are too with nice slime to throw at him.

3. Irony
they have this posted on the web page (yes they are all about investgating Dems. Or liberals as they call them.) Think we should clue them into VP Dick Cheney's and Halliburton

CODE OF ETHICS FOR GOVERNMENT

Any person in Government service should:

Put loyalty to the highest moral principles and to country above loyalty to Government persons, party, or department.

Uphold the Constitution, laws, and legal regulations of the United States and all governments therein and never be a party to their evasion.

Give a full day's labor for a full day's pay; giving to the performance of his duties his earnest effort and best thought.

Seek to find and employ more efficient and economical ways of getting tasks accomplished.

Never discriminate unfairly by the dispensing of special favors or privileges by anyone, whether for remuneration or not; and never accept for himself or his family, favors or benefits under circumstances which might be construed by reasonable persons as influencing the performance of his governmental duties.

Make no private promises of any kind binding upon the duties of office, since a Government employee has no private word which can be binding on public duty.

Engage in no business with the Government, either directly or indirectly, which is inconsistent with the conscientious performance of his governmental duties.

Never use any information coming to him in confidentiality in the performance of governmental duties as a means of making private profit.

Expose corruption whenever discovered.

Uphold these principles, ever conscious that public office is a public trust.

In a nut shell NLPC is a front group for somebody. They are targetting our own.. times to kick back:kick:
