2. Let us all join hands and invoke the ghost of ---
-- those weather angels in attendance for a previous Inaugural, that of William Henry Harrison...

6. Hi, dweller.
Harrison, who was sort of a philistine yahoo in the first place, not unlike a current president we know, was to be inaugurated on a notably frigid day.

He refused to wear his overcoat against the cold and several weeks later died of pneumonia.

It's not very charitable for me to invoke those winter angels attendant upon Harrison's inaugural to visit the same fate on Dubya, I readily admit.

Nevertheless... : )

and as we all know, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

we witness history repeating and report, observe and learn, keep the keen eye open . . .

8. Irony of ironies, if our sainted Little Boots were to slip and fall on ice
and promptly file suit in bush vs. Washington, D.C.

Is he going to do his little chickendance promenade, or will he forfeit the honor as a sacrifice to his unbefrickinlievable paranoia?

It is my fondest wish that the skies open with full force and fury upon his fiendish head. I'm talking thunder and lightning, brothers :D

13. From what I gather...
Shrub is going to review the troops (lined up on each side to protect the King and Queen)as they walk up the avenue! Celebrate and honor the troops...BS...he's just protecting his own ass! He has got to know how the majority of this country feels about him. Thus...the paranoia!

15. Well, my interpretation is ...
... like all delusional "leaders," he just wants to inspect and admire his possessions. He'll be thinking to himself, "I have the power of life and death over you and there ain't a damn thing you can do about it, sucker."

of Bush putting his tongue on the mic and getting stuck.

Though I suppose Laura will remind him not to.
