More Kerry voters, more Kerry votes, more Kerry people talked...
To the pollsters,

Long lines in Kerry strongholds,

Who was in Cuyahoga AFTER 5 PM ON NOVEMBER 2ND?

Did the lines look WHITE, MALE/GOLFER/CHURCHGOER, SHY, QUIET, GUN OWNER people to you?

MITOFSKY "WANTS" TO know...

And the media sure is going To "investigate" because the only thing "wrong" with last "election" is the guy CURRENTLY IN THE WHITE HOUSE!

1. The media are a bunch of right wing "MALE/GOLFER/CHURCHGOER......
SHY, QUIET, GUN OWNER people" and they are bigots as far as I'm concerned. They don't care if minorities had to wait 14 HOURS to vote!

Some "Democracy" we are. :eyes: 500 MILLION people vote in India (the World's largest TRUE DEMOCRACY) and they don't have 14 HOUR lines!!!
:wtf:???

9. India also has 5000 different candidates
.. also I have to say this for the Indian media - that if there was a pattern that a particular group (say the Muslims, or the poor or the lower caste populations) had to wait 10 hours, the media would have been all over it.

Mitofsky is really asking this question?--in what forum, or poll?

I'm presuming it's a joke. Sorry, tired, have to go to work now. One can always hope that a demon of the night will turn out to be an angel.

3. No of course not...

But his portray of his own "mistakes" leaves us with a HUGE problem.

THOSE ARE THE PATTERNS THAT MITOFSKY'S "people" saw on his "report."

Are they true or he MADE THOSE UP?

Very simple to "debunk" his claims.

4. Your right....
As a matter of fact their explanations would equally and more simply be explained by the fact that Kerry had more voters choose him.

When two competing theories exist that equally explain the results a scientist should select the more simple of the two. More Kerry voters is simply put easier to explain and quantify, than is Kerry voters were more likely to answer the poll!

As a matter of fact I am pretty sure that I read before the election that Kerry voters were more likely to screen their calls and avoid taking an opinion poll over a Bush voter.

5. Correct
Kerry voters had "CALLER ID" and WERE NOT EAGER to answer phone calls from unknown callers.

Exactly the OPPOSITE of MITOFSKY'S CLAIMS!

6. Is this because the pollsters
were saying that at the last minute a bunch of Bush voters came out to the polls? So therefore their polls earlier in the day, showed Kerry winning, but that after 4:00 it changed to Bush?

7. Almost at 5:00 PM!
The "problem" is that NOBODY ACTUALLY SAW THEM VOTING!

8. Raul- the people in this country have had just about enough!
Can't you feel the wind changing direction? It's shifting, my friend! Me thinks Lord of the Manor is in for a rude awakening! Call me crazy! I'm feeling like their party is pretty close to being over! People don't buy this exit poll explanation! I've even chatted with some repubs (a few who reluctantly voted for shrub...eek!)and they say that it's a pretty lame attempt to validate the election. So there you have it! Their little bag of tricks just aint workin' for them no more! Have faith!

12. You know what's even more delicious?
Edited on Fri Jan-21-05 04:15 PM by fooj
Watching them slowly lose grip of something that was never theirs to begin with! Think about yesterday! Where were all of the millions and millions of shrub supporters? One would think they would delight in lending support to the "crowned" king! Guess they couldn't show up when they were never there to begin with! I understand your frustration. I'm right there with you! However, laughing at these assholes helps to alleviate the stress. Peace!

If it were Kerry yesterday, blizzards and a white out wouldn't have kept us away! See?

11. Unlike you, I was unable...
...to drive to every precinct in the county. But of the hundreds of precincts that I was able to visit, I was unable to tell who golfs, goes to church, or owns a gun. How weird is that ?
