Rumour has it that Jeb Bush is going to step up to the plate for 08 and continue the Bush leadership.

With Diebold still in place, who will be the next Catherine Harris - Kenneth Blackwell to decide the next President?

1. We will get rid of the machines.
It will leak. Our hard working activists will take their significant findings to the right person and they will help bring the story out. Jeb will LOOSE.

If we don't get the machines, we're all screwed.

5. If Jeb Bush
wins I swear to God I will leave this country. If we can't have someone in the Dem party to come forth by then that will represent us , then I think it is time to give up. I can't take anymore of this rightwing crap.I think our country will be destroyed if this rightwing control continues. We have to keep this from happening. If it takes joining another party or whatever I will do it. I am from a long line of Dem. women , and I will not give in any longer to the right.

18. I will too.
Seriously, this country is regressing to the point where I feel very unsafe as a gay man. Blatant harassment, car chases, sexual harassment, property damage, etc... and it's all okay in Indiana because it is "discrimination," which is perfectly legal. At least that's what the judge said. Sounds like anarchy to me, especially now that I carry pepper spray and a huge metal flashlight to swing at heads.

Dick will step down in a couple years & George will APPOINT Jeb as VP. The media will spend the rest of the term praising the unexpectedly fantastic job Jeb is doing; then, the fix will insure Jeb "wins." You may quote me!

Jeb becomes VP.

27. With the voting system the way it is, who needs to campaign?
The appearance of campaigning and the fuss about getting votes will
become a staged scenario used primarily for rewarding those who do the dirty work, raising oodles of money, adding to the propaganda mailing list, and creating rungs on the neocon ladder of success.

How can he resist? Besides, I heard a rumor than either Frist or Santorum wants Rove to run his campaign. Neither of those buffoons has a chance without Rove's skulduggery in his back pocket.

I do know one thing for sure...

7. This movement will be full speed and raring to go before the 2006
cycle! It is growing way too fast to allow this crap in 2008! At least that's what I see. We just need to get the message to those without Internet. there are lots of suggestions about flyer's, but I would like to really see that effort pan out. I am currently trying to get out as many deception dollars as I can. They are jammed with information and people really inspect them! I am attempting to put several on windshields whenever I am in a parking lot. I may have to put one on my own car windshield just to offset the Democratic Underground sticker so I don't get a brick through my window, but hopefully that one will get "stolen" since it looks enough like a dollar when folded up someone might try to make a buck!

14. I don't think so.
McCain isn't in the neo-con loop. He might as well be a Libertarian or a Democrat, the way they treat him. Look how they trot out the attack ads (interestingly, the last batch by a group that had the same address as the Swift Boat guys) any time he sticks his head over the line.

No idea who it will be, but it won't be Jeb. It would start to look like nepotism, even to the Republicans. He can't get the nomination. No, I don't have a prediction who it will be.

16. ... for the hills, if he's smart. VOTEsters everywhere will ...
... work to clean up, straighten up and protect free and fair elections; or we will make such a noise that the walls of the Rove Nation will crumble. They better get used to shouts of "Shame!!" in their ears.

I would not want to be whomever the next Repug candidate for Prez if the election theft shit-storm breaks. So run Jeb, run. We might as well make fun out of both of you fools at the same time.

I can see the Democrat's slogan now: "Four more years under a Bush? Fuggedabowdit!!"

there is already a whisper campaign underway regarding making a change to that part of the Constitution. It was started by a Repug. out of So. Cal, Rhorbacher, I think.

30. I don't know what is up with this, and I wish I did.
It bugged me so much when I first came across it that I posted about it, and got a few answers--mainly that it may be some way of bargaining. Others said it was just Conyers' work for immigrants...but being a Californian myself on Ah-nulled watch, it really, really is unsettling to me.

I'm not even sure he was properly elected.

And now he wants to gerrymander the state? I agree that it is already gerrymandered in a bad way -- only 1 real contest in Merced. But it sounds like he wants to pack it with Repubs, like Texas.

would be Dem Gov. Granholm of Michigan, Conyers' state. She's from Canada.

FL didn't need Katherine Harris in 04 because they had the voting machines in place. OH will be safely in the Repub column forever next election, just as GA and FL are now.

40. Not if we see that the system is fixed!!
It's up to US (not the U.S. - lol) to see that we have a democratic voting system. And it has to be in place before 2008. I refuse to believe that Jeb or any other evil Republican will take office in 2008. Just thinking it puts that energy into the universe and gets the ball rolling. I will envision an honest (as honest as any politician can get! lol), hard working team that will represent the people in the White House once Bush goes down (which I think he will).
