WATCH NOW - Election Fraud 2004 Compilation Video by DU Members

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST! ---I came up with this idea right after January 6th - to have a video made highlighting some of the events (especially video/news events) of the investigations of the 2004 Pres. election - it is NOT meant to be a 'documentary', so I do already know it does not include scrutinous details such as Triad incidence, illegal recount, Clint Curtis, etc - instead of showing still images from every article released in the past few months, we tried to keep it mostly video and memorable quotes. We tried to get in video clips of Triad rep. and Clint Curtis but we didn't find any good snips that made sense that would fit into the video without taking up too much time. The background song is the song that kept me going and kept me focused on the election fraud investigations all the way from Nov. to this very moment, it is called "Butterflies and Hurricanes" by the band Muse.

I think and hope that after someone watches this, someone who had either no or little idea that any of this went on - that this will get their attention and encourage them to go to one of the websites listed at the end to find more information for themselves. I didn't want to 'sell' the idea of election fraud, but instead, let the people know that these things really did go on - to see REAL life people ON VIDEO making these statements that the mainstream media would not cover.

I think the intention of this video is more of an 'inspirational' recap, rather than a factual, detailed documentary. I just want to be clear on that. (Oh yeah, don't worry, we know it's not in exact sequential order, but it's the feeling I was trying to convey).

Although it was my idea, I think most of the credit goes to Dzika for working SO hard on this (he's actually had to remind me to keep up on it) - he has basically done the hard work of putting this all together, with only me saying what i like or don't like and giving ideas here and there, what i think should change, etc. I am so grateful for his help and work and I'm glad my gut told me to go to him for this. Also, a very big THANK YOU to all the DU'ers who gave us their feedback in the past few weeks - sorry that we couldn't make all the changes suggested but we did what we could and didn't want to keep this from everyone for too long. It needs to get out there!

Anyway, thank you to all who watch this - please spread it around to your friends or other sites/message boards to get the word out. We may make a few minor changes here and there in the next few days, but the changes will always be made on the same link, so don't worry.

just kind of ended up that way i guess. i wanted to show more actual video footage and pics so that people get a more visual/interactive affect of what happened. i figured by at least having some of the people in the video mention fraud, people will figure it out on their own and do some research. i didn't want to put a lot of text screens in it or people might lose interest.

i figured if we showed people that action was taken, and gave out all the links at the end, people could just type in one URL and get all the info from there. it's more of a celebrative dedication to the people who worked hard to get a Senator to stand up - and those who fought for the recounts and investigations in Ohio.

here's a quick and easy way you could include a snippet on the electionic voting machine issue --

just throw in two text "slides".

the first one could say:

"Those who vote decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything."

the second slide could say:

"80% of votes in the last election were counted on electronic voting machines made by private companies that support the republican party".

Please don't get me wrong. I don't want to sound critical. I love the movie as it is. I'm just thinking it could be used as an introduction to people who don't know anything about election fraud. And if so it would be essential to introduce them to what I think is equally important as voter suppression (if not even more so). It could be done with just a couple slides. Even if you can't do it, I'm sure it took a ton of work and it's amazing that you put it together!

I want people to remember the '60s and the anguish that fair-minded Americans went through as people fought for the most basic principles of democracy. But the anguish did not arise among very many whites until people became aware and had their conscience touched.

The image of the long, long line in the middle of the night, of people waiting to vote, is one of the most powerful of this whole event of the stolen election.

Does it bear repeating near the end, right between the speakers of the CBC and others who talk about the "Right to vote" and Kerry's speech at the King breakfast? Maybe even more than once?

Just cuts to that scene, flashed in there, would be powerful. You know what they say about repetition.....

But, I love it just as it is!

definitely should be mentioned--especially their ability to be hacked.

List the partisan ownership of voting machines (well stated in the "Amazing Facts About Voting" piece that another DU member wrote).

Also reference the exit poll discrepancies--and show video of the crowds massing in the Ukraine demanding--and getting a new election when exit polls didn't match outcomes there.

Third, to explain WHY the polls are different from the outcomes, say how Bev Harris trained a chimpanzee to hack into a computer (central tabulator, I think, see her website) and change votes.
If you can't use Bev's video, footage of any grinning chimp would make the point.

You might also mention the many people who swear they saw their vote actually change from Kerry to Bush on review screens. Magic? Or Mischief? (Then show the chimp)

Have you seen it? I think it's ABC footage election night with voters lined up around a parking lot in the dark. Something is jumping from the bottom right corner of the shot towards the center of the crowd. I showed this to my husband last night, it's going to be one of those things that makes you emotional no matter how many times you see it (not the alien, the whole video).
