DIEBOLD ELECTION SYSTEMS SENDS VOTER-VERIFIABLE PAPER AUDIT TRAIL PRINTER
Edited on Fri Jan-28-05 12:19 PM by chrisbur
I don't know if this has been posted yet but Diebold seems to have come up with an "add-on" printer that will let you look at a receipt "under glass". No touching.

Thanks for info.

The purpose of paper trail audition is to verify the totals of votes from the main computer that received from the local voting machines through direct connection (or other kind of communication). If the total of the printed copy from each voting machines dont match with the central computer’s numbers, then there is an error from the transferred data between the voting machines and the main computer, or within the main computer itself. The current E voting system does not audit the paper trails.

We knew the machines had too many problems of errors reported and not accuracy. With the uncounterfeit paper ballots and hand count, no need paper trail audition.

2. As long as the paper...
is kept in a locked box and actually treated as a paper ballot. There is actually another thread pertaining to this new development that is getting a lot of comments.
