Feinstein votes NO on Gonzales. Democrats may FILIBUSTER!
Repub. Majority Leader Bill Frist, in a C-Span2 interview just moments ago, warned Democrats against FILIBUSTERING the Gonzales nomination. Said he wants a vote by Thursday.

...profiteer, and on most issues, she might as well be a Republican and even a BushCon. She would have to alter course significantly to ever get my vote. I've been a loyal Democratic voter for 44 years, and she's one of the few Democrats I've ever voted against.

32. I know!
I just wrote her a letter that said I had never voted against a democrat but would never vote for her again if she didn't vote against AG. She has really disappointed me and looks more and more like a wolf in sheep's clothing. But I guess I wanted to at least give her credit for standing up against our new up-and-coming Torture Tzar. :shrug:

35. I'm not a great fan of hers. But she also spoke out last week
at a Senate Dem. Committee hearing (on CSPAN)...FIRMLY saying that she would NOT tolerate SS being privatized. She seemed to be in favor of only minorly adjusting it for people who earn over $120,000/yr. I was impressed with her tenacity on this, and her questions to SS Admin employees who showed up at the hearing.

So if she's also opposing Gonzalez, I say that's TWO for Diane. I'll write her and thank her. It IS a beginning.

...the vote hasn't occurred yet. She announced that she will vote no in a speech on the Senate floor this morning.

I think she's worried about her Left flank in CA.

outside of the floor on C-Span, "the Dems are denying him the "American Dream".
DU'er also sites a US soldier is captured in Iraq, to be beheaded in 72hrs unless prisoners are released.
Repubs better listen to the advice of the good ol Dems.
