1. Great. I was thinking I'd have to go to Oakland, but this is much closer.
I hope they will also have someone speak about the SoS coup there.

6. Great news! Sounds like a Road Show! I'll get back here late tonight,
tomorrow during morning hours, and on Sunday, to do what I can to promote these Teach In's. I'll stay on DU, kicking; and will get a LETTER OF THE WEEK (or several, for several purposes) up here by late Sunday night. And somebody needs to hit AAR with info about these Teach In's (Randi Rhodes, Mike Malloy, others).

Boy, LA'ers sure need to find out about their elections head, Connie McCormack!

12. How do I combine threads?
There are two threads about the Oakland teach-in and one about the LA event. I think it's better to keep the two events in separate threads so people don't get confused. Do you agree?

Edited on Sat Feb-19-05 03:57 AM by sacxtra
I have simplified it.

REMOVE (rm -rf)

electricity
electronics
digitized data
and insecure networks.

FROM
United States Of America's elections.

ELSE

Anarchy Rules.

Feel me?

See me yet?

If you see me now then you need to file an election/fraud complaint stating that the exact nano-second that your analog (written) ballot was converted to digitized data (electronic) it disappeared, and you HAVE BEEN DENIED THE RIGHT TO VOTE.

EAT THAT BAY-BEE!! (You know WhoTF you are)

Friends,
The most serious work of our lives begins NOW... to
educate, agitate and activate ALL Americans to DEMAND
that our horrendously broken election system. We
cannot survive another stolen election. It has to STOP
- but only the PEOPLE can stop it.

AND WE WILL. People are flying and driving in from ALL
over the country to attend or present at our Teach-In
on 2/26 & 2/27.

There's a mirror Teach-In in SF on 2/25 & 26. Two
weeks ago, there was a Teach-In/Film night on Election
Fraud in Santa Cruz. The the Civil Rights/Voting
Rights/Pro-Democracy
movement is gaining ground and momentum HERE in
California!!!
(After all, we are the land of Boxer and Waters...)

NOW is the time to inspire all your friends, all the
Americans who had their hearts broken on 11/02/04 to
demand Election Reform. If they
don't understand exactly how the Votes were stolen
last election, this Teach-In will show them.

We MUST become a mass movement immediately. Every
single Social Justice, Civil Justice, Environmental
Justice, Spiritual and Religious group should get on
board, NOW. Get
together and get it done by 2006.

"Determine that the thing shall be done, and then you
will find the way." Abraham Lincoln

Join us. Let's be brave together. Let's stand up to
these Neo-Confederate Corporatist bullies and take
back our Vote. THANK-YOU!

56. They don't seem to have anyone who knows about problems in Florida ??
and there are indications in another thread that they got the Florida problems all wrong.
The other thread said they thought the Florida problems were in optical scan counties, but there is no evidence supporting that that I'm aware of. I've seen no evidence of that at all, and my study and the EIRS hotline reports don't support it except in a few of the larger optical scan counties.

The problems in Florida as documented by Hout's study( U. of Calif.-Berkeley) and my study earlier (http://www.flcv.com/fla04EAS.html)
were mostly in the big touchscreen counties. Florida had more cases of fraud and irregularities reported to the Election Protection election day hotline than any other state and they virtually all were related to touchscreen vote machine fraud and dirty tricks/suppression to reduce minority votes in the big touchscreen counties.
http://www.flcv.com/fraudpat.html

Hout's study is referenced on this web page.

I assumed Hout would be at the center of the Calif. teach-in since his is the biggest and best known study I'm aware of from Calif. researchers.

57. I didn't see Haut's name listed for either Teach-In, nor Steven...
...Freeman, nor Ron Baiman, nor any of the Ph.D.'s, although I thought Kathy Dopp was going to speak at one of them (UScountvotes.org--publisher of the 9 Ph.D. report)--can't remember which one--and Jonathan Simon spoke in Oakland.

I didn't know that FLA had the most reported irregularities of any state. Thanks for the info--and for all your work!

FLA should have been challenged on Jan. 6. Do you have any idea why it wasn't? What's happening with the election reform movement there? I'm not up on it. (One of the problems with this movement--big, messy, all over the map, grass roots struggle. Glorious, but difficult. Hard to keep up with everything.)
