Please e-mail AAR Al Franken Show to tell them that Vote Counting matters
Al Franken said that Dems are looking like tin-foil hat types by questioning the results the this election. He points to the Dixiecrat phenomenon in FL story as to why those counties went to Bush in 2004. I think he's missing the general point that there ARE irregularities within the voting system, and that there ARE instances of voter intimidation in 2004.

Franken's cohort was saying that we don't want to push for a uniform voting systems across the nation because we would loose good voting systems to that. I think they're both just setting us up for more of the same. They have job security for the next four years unlike the majority of Americans. Please let AAR know how you feel about their mealy-mouth get-over-it, and don't-worry-about-counting-votes talk:

9. Al's perspective would have more legs if....
... all the voting machine companies weren't owned by party-faithful Republicans.

I was trying to access the blog to post. Thanks for the link.
I tried but the thingy told me "comments are not alowed in this webloh"
Al Gore, Max Cleland, Fritz Mondale, John Kerry - how many more people will be elected but robbed before the party wakes up from the denial?
Not mas spread fraud? Then how come these numbers only changed in electronic voting states and only in Bush's favor?

You may want to see how black voters were treated in Ohio:

3. Was going to suggest the same thing
I just left feedback at http://www.airamericaradio.com/shows/alfrankenshow/contact.asp , telling him in his quest to find hard facts not to overlook the preponderance of circumstantial evidence, after all he just had someone on the show declare Peterson is guilty and that is purely circumstantial.

6. Al's drinking the Kool Aid
On this mornings show when he said he "didn't think that there was systematic fraud" in this election and "don't fan the flames" it was conspiratorial thinking I had to turn it off.

If the crap he is spewing is supposed to help our cause ... Lets hope he doesn't decide to try and do us any harm. Idiot.

10. Yeah, I emailed them that Al's stating that no conspiracy exists...
... was just as fact-free, at present, as claims of certain conspiracy. All the facts are not yet in, and Franken's attitude was unproductive, to say the least.

12. Just turn Franken OFF
Boycott franken -- he's not funny anyway.

The point is that all the votes must be counted --

Franken is part of the problem unless he demands that all votes must be counted.

If this doesn't happen -- there is no point in getting out the vote in 2 years or 4 years. Because the vote will be manipulated -- and the crooks will even decide WHO runs on the democratic side.

Oh well I suppose his darling children will have draft deferments -- he probably knows someone. His daughter is a teacher -- that a good occupation for the Army. His son is studying to be an engineer -- the Army really could use his son.

If that happens to him -- guess what -- that's not my problem -- go cry on bushie's shoulder.

14. I can't believe he didn't even admit...
...the fact that there were problems with this election (which even Fox would admit, with the lines until 1 am and the 3,800 extra Gana-whatever votes for Bush).

I don't get why, even if someone refuses to use the "F" word, they can't just stick to the position of the Dems on the Judiciary Committee who are asking for the GAO to investigate: that there have been issues and we need to improve.

Should we be making that the second line of argument--even if it wasn't fraud, shouldn't we at least make sure everything is running smoothly? Or is that a partial capitulation?

15. This is all soooooo productive.
Let's all attack on someone who has done so much for the cause because they haven't been drinking the Kool-Aid that YOU prefer.

This whole thing is so counter productive that I cannot believe this theory has taken over so much of DF.

All the time we spend crafting our little tin foil hats is time we are not spending on ways to improve our message.

Boycott AAR...I think NOT!!

17. Oh Really ?
We are "attacking" Al huh? He had a guest on that was trying to explain WHY we have reason to be greatly concerned about the legitimacy of the vote count on November 2. His guest was making observations that were documented facts. For example ... In many counties the end result reflected many more total votes than there were registered voters in that county.

Concern about this FACT is indicative of conspiratorial thinking ?

Al thinks so. If, in fact, this is an attack on Frankin so be it. He sure as hell doesn't have a problem "attacking" Randi Rhodes (who suggested that maybe all of those extra votes for bush* must have been a miracle from his buddy God) or Mike Malloy who, unlike Al, has made the choice to seek the truth ... and try to preserve democracy in this country. I have no problem with Air America Radio. It's Frankin that is making me nauseous.

18. Franken, you mean.
Hoew does dismissing a Liberal who actually has some MSM media clout accomplish anything?

I guess I am just diametrically opposed to you on this issue.

I listened to Randi Rhodes today and thought she was ridiculous.

Continuing down this path is going to make DU and the Democrats a laughingstock.

I know you don't want to hear this, but if this obsession is losing me, I can only imagine the effect it is having on others.

21. I don't mind hearing "this" at all
"Continuing down this path is going to make DU and the Democrats a laughingstock"

Guess what. Some people may already see it that way and speaking only for myself - who gives a shit ? Just what path is it that you are suggesting the democrats take to avoid, god forbid, becoming a "laughingstock"?

16. Al's looking to run for congress...
at least he hinted to that the other night on David Letterman. He's in a position where he can't rock the boat at this moment...I say he's a sell out because of it.

As Stalin said, "Those who cast the votes decide nothing, those who count the votes decide everything."
