College students & Dems had problem voting in many states
New Jersey
Tie broken after 2 days when misplaced AB found-Repub wins
Somerset County Democrats yesterday filed for a recount of election returns in Bedminster, where one mislaid absentee ballot gave Republican Kurt Joerger a late victory.
Joerger was tied with Mass at 1,789 until the county board of elections agreed to accept an additional absentee ballot. According to county elections Supervisor Janice Hoffner, election workers found the ballot two days after the Nov. 2 election, when they were counting separately filed federal ballots. Story Archive

College students not on roles
Hundreds, perhaps thousands of students at Rutgers University thought they were registered only to find that they weren't on the rolls and could only vote provisionally. Many colleges are reporting the same problem. Story Archive

Thousands of Dems not on roles
In Trenton, Democrats warned that thousands of new voters' names were not on books at polls in Camden, Essex, Passaic and Mercer Counties and asked the state attorney general to protect those voters' rights

Edited on Tue Mar-01-05 09:20 PM by berniew1
Was it a "glitch" or "fraud"?
Hinds County. Voting results displayed one result in poll watcher area, but the officials machine produced differing numbers at the same time, and claimed there was a computer "glitch" on the computer in the poll watcher area. Story

The clerk's office never informed her of the problem, she said. She has since learned that dozens of students are having the same problem. Story Archive

4. Another stolen election
Doesn't anyone in the media besides Olbermn wonder why machine glitches always favor jr?

I know it sounds paranoid but the nightmare in
Washington might be a right wing setup to deflect other elections. I know I didn't invent the theory but each time I read something like this I start to believe it more.

6. Voting straight Dem ticket in N or S Carolina loses your Presidentail vote
Edited on Wed Mar-02-05 12:40 AM by berniew1
(October 25, 2004) - If you plan to check a straight party box on the ballot on election day, you'd better think twice. NewsChannel 3 has discovered that if you just vote straight party, your vote for president won't count. That happens only in North and South Carolina. We found that most people don't know about it.

Casting a straight party vote is easy. Check the box, and everyone in that party gets your vote. Except the candidates running for the White House.

(This was also true for North Carolina)

Those who simply voted straight Dem ticket in N or S Carolina lost their vote for President.

And "glitch" /fraud results in uncertainty regarding who won in Sumter County.
In Sumter County 111 more voters cast ballots than signed in on poll books and that 1,055 more ballots were cast than have been accounted for. This discrepancy could cause a state Senate race to be decided by the Senate instead of the people
