BRAD BLOG: 23 House Dems Call for E-Vote Co. Standards! Or no HAVA Money!
Edited on Mon Mar-21-05 12:14 AM by BradBlog
TWENTY-THREE U.S. House Members Send Letter to E-Vote Companies!
Members convey 'moral and patriotic duty' to implement standards or face loss of Government Funding!

State that HAVA funding should only go to 'firms that abide by these principles'!

Congressional support for Velvet Revolution's "Divestiture for Democracy" campaign continues to build strength as TWENTY-THREE U.S. House Members signed on to a letter sent late Friday to the nine major American Voting Machine companies!

The letter, authored by Rep. Maxine Waters and Rep. John Conyers, and signed by 23 colleagues, demands transparency and accountability from the private companies which now run the public function of America's electoral system. The Congressional members outline -- in no uncertain terms -- their position that all government funding should be withheld from companies that do not comply with the standards originally set forth in VR's February 21 letter to the companies.

2. There is no method of sending an email on VR
One isn't allowed to input info and I'm damned if I'm going to be forced to join yet another website that spams me.

6. Huh???
Not sure what you mean LdyGuique.

If you're speaking of the letter to the E-Vote Companies at:
http://www.velvetrevolution.us/mailing.php?Mailing=05FC507D500021102290C

You simply fill in your info and hit SEND. There are little checkboxes to ask VR to NOT send you any Email if you prefer.

If you have any other problems, of course, please feel free to let me know!

Brad
