REPLY From Sec of State Candidate regarding Election Fraud
Corey:

Thanks for your message. I will be a candidate for Secretry of State
in 2006 and I would be happy to discuss the problems and solutions for
our election system. I would be happy to visit your school or meet
with you and others this Thursday while I'm in Greenville. I plan on
arriving @ 5-5:30 but can arrange to come a bit earlier. I believe
that will be the best way to answer your questions and discuss ideas.
Just let me know what can work, even if it is just before or after the
dinner.

Bryan Flannery

1. I wouldn't read too much into it. I don't think it sounds insincere
at all. I would like to run for Supervisor of Elections in a few years and this sounds exactly how I'd respond to a request to talk about election fraud. I like that he said he could arrange to come a bit earlier and is working it into the schedule. I think that sounds like he's taking the concern seriously.

Granted, this is without knowing any of the context of your other communication with him, but I read it as encouraging.

2. This is a tremendous opportunity for you and the Election Reform netroots.

You have him agreeing to discuss it with you and others, in public.

And, he added the 'discuss ideas' part, to communicate that he didn't only want to 'answer questions'.

So, use this forum to gather and prepare your questions, get a trusted friend or two and a voice recorder (which you must tell him about)... and do some 'netroots' in-person interviewing!

You have a great opportunity here. Treat it as your most important job between now and then, and report the results!
