8. The best reason not to worry about Nader is...
...that third party candidates always account for 1 to 1.5% of the vote in any election. Nader's totals are now simply part of that structural segment.

Nader no longer draws votes for Nader, he (and the others) draw the protest "I won't vote for either of those major party bastards" vote. Nader has transformed into a generic "other" fringe candidate.

The only people he's taking votes from are the Greens, Libertarians, etc.

Meanwhile, I'm settling in to witness a bit of regime change as it unfolds... :-) Why don't you join me?

12. The damage he did was in 2000...
helping to "elect" Emperor George. We couldn't even be dealing with this garbage if he had a clue.

Despite my conservative family, I thought Nader was a hero when I was growing up. Now, I think he has some sort of brain damage, or a delusional illness. Or a testosterone-fueled ego disorder.

Ralph, sometimes grown-ups have to be pragmatic! And you have let us down....

18. Nader's fault?
or the people that voted for him? did he put a gun to their heads?

is it maybe instead the fault of those who voted Republican? or those who would vote Kerry but didn't bother, or the ethnic cleansing of voter rolls? or maybe a seriously dodgy system that allows all sorts of corruption into proceedings.

I'm speaking from a distance here and it's hard keeping up with just what's happening in the US all over let alone just Florida but I don't see how IF Bush does win (shudder at the thought) that it can be all dumped at Nader's feet
