Raw Story - The Paper Chase: (Be The Media-like Effort)
The Paper Chase:

The paper chase is a way to help bypass government purchased pre-packaged news, as well as the mainstream media's lack of substantive reporting. The danger the lack of real information making its way to the people is apparent in the current state of affairs.

What the paper chase asks people to do is to simply: print, copy, and leave news wherever you go on a daily basis for twoweeks. We cannot simply reach the people on the Internet, because people generally go to the sites they like and the people we want to reach are largely unaware of our sites and may be disinterested.

We have to show them that what they are missing is the truth.

and need to keep it kicked - will discuss with Paineinthearse. If we all tell our DU friends, we can keep the story more visible - the power of community, right?

4. Go for it.
Added thought.

I grab stories and email them to friends all the time.

More news could flow this way, too.

5. I do the same. There needs to be more brainstorming
on additional ways to reach the non-internet population and let them know what is really going on and - very important - that there is an alternative of hope and peace and human growth.

Just telling them that things are far worse than they realized isn't enough. We have to give them an alternative that provides hope and positive direction.

The Paper Chase thread, once we get it going strongly, would provide links to copyright-free articles suitable for using in The Paper Chase and also for emailing to friends. And maybe we can come up with still other uses.

7. I recently started doing this.
I'm printing selected news stories and also the USCountVotes report and dropping off in waiting rooms and similar places.
