Students not allowed to vote in Louisiana, like some other states
041439 11/02/04, 12:55 PM PST Problem based on student status Mini-dome, Southern University A&M College Campus, Baton Rouge , East Baton Rouge County, Louisiana Students being denied access to polling site, denied even provisional ballots.

052689 11/04/04, 1:32 PM PST Registration-related problem Southern University @ Baton Rouge, New Orleans, East Baton Rouge Parish County, Louisiana Her daughter, a student at Southern @ BR, and other SU students were told by Commissioner Patrice Bickham that shey should have gone home to vote

Southern University. They went to register there, and they told you to go home and told not to vote there, but you had to go home to vote. They had to go back home to vote. They don't have a way to get home to vote. It happened to 1, 000 students. They were registered @ home ..when they got home, they told you to go home to vote.

061141 01/13/05, 12:09 PM PST Registration-related problem Catholic Church @ Grambling College, Grambling, Lincoln County, Louisiana Registered during reg. drive at Grambling College. Knows it was submitted on time. Filled out card in mid-late September. She was not in the system and chose not to fill out provisional ballot. Some students could vote, others could not.

061145 01/13/05, 12:30 PM PST Problem based on student status St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Lincoln Parish (?) County, Louisiana All students turned away despite being registered (caller is Grambling State student). Many had their registration cards with them.
