WHAT IS MOVEon's Problem.... PAPER RECEIPTS... AACCCKKKK

What is Moveon's problem? I am midway through their survey and finally one tiny little blurb about election reform
and here it is... they go and say "PAPER RECEIPTS" can someone who knows someone at MOVEON please educate them that saying paper receipts shows that

a. they are complete idiots about election reform
b. a paper receipt implies something a voter leaves with and implies the potential that the voter get harmed for not having voted the right way and there has long since been legislation preventing this from happening, the word receipt is totally inappropritate way to say PAPER BALLOT.. why not just say a PAPER BALLOT.. that's what it is...
c. that they should change 'election reform' which implies shutup and moveon from the 2004 race to 'election fraud' which implies we are not going to stay quiet about the 2004 election fraud, in fact some of us (specifically www.countpaperballots.com) have purchased open records from 28 counties in Georgia and starting all kinds of legal efforts to purposely focus on ELECTION FRAUD...

WILL SOMEONE PLEASE CONTACT ELI PARISER and really just explain all this to him....

Oppose Social Security privatization

Stop Bush from stacking the federal courts with right-wing judges

Promote electoral reform such as guaranteeing paper receipts for electronic voting

Support an end to the war in Iraq

Win back Congress in 2006

Draw attention to the unfair use of public airwaves to promote a conservative agenda

***** I just cringe when I read this.

MY BIGGEST Struggle is against the very folks who should be helping me. Air America radio's Jon Swinton (friend of Cathy Cox), MoveOn, who uses the dreaded 'paper receipts', instead of saying a paper ballot that is the official ballot of record and that one that is citizen counted and citizen secured election night..... our own Georgia DFA Democracy For America where the leader suggests we stop going to election reform town halls and stop agitating Cathy Cox....

MY GOD if I could just get the support these organizations, my life would be tons easier... I don't have to time to fight the actual culprits I"m so busy educating and getting pissed off with the progressive organizations that are supposed to be helping me....

I've about decided the only folks who have any clue at all are the GREENS or the LIBERTARIANS.... everyone else is lights out , nobody home....

We are working hard here, and having a diagram like this is a good visual for those who can't take the time to read about what the problem is.

I have educated and talked to Move On till I am blue in the face. I have Moved on.

Why would they drop the ball on this issue? I've donated to them, but have found after this last election they seem to be pretty weak just informing membership of a few "calls to action."

Move On did contribute to the Washington State Recount, then dropped the ball. Why are they not interested? :shrug:

In Memphis to state our opposition to the war. I was appointed to be their spokesperson to address our congressman.

After the opposition to the war effort, I found them to be less than committed to the progressive agenda.
