Carter uses the "F" word!!
I know folks, I just posted a thread expressing doubt in Carter's ability to accomplish anything on this stacked commission.

Maybe there's hope.

Today he said:

"e want to make sure that the electoral process has integrity -- that it is not shot through with fraud."

11. Me too, and I just couldn't picture it.
Although BushCo is probably capable of making the most mild-mannered among us ready to use THAT f-word.

3. In as much as a lot of folks feel
virulently about Bev. She may or may not have done sleezy things but I don't really know about that. She did at the very least know these issues all too well and it was shortly after last year's election that she said something to the effect of. . . "don't be afraid to say . . . .FRAUD."

I'm thrilled Carter said it. And Cheney said far worse. And at least Carter's statement was true.

6. O.K Jimmy Carter....
We have done most of the work me and my extended group of secret anonymous research assistants.

Lets see what you're made of then.....Take down this ridiculous fake commission, and expose the fraud!!!

Do you think all the americans really want some dominionist nutjobs shouting the rapture everywhere???

Nuh uh I better hope not, it would be a better idea to get the charter canyon asylums filled up and the fraud case torn wide open.

9. Carter knows whats up
so I think if we keep sending him all the facts,he'll get more and more pissed off ,and hopefully blow this thing wide open, where it should be.He still does have his secret service protection.

12. problem is, the Center denies any involvement in the commission
I know that person promised they would give the data to Carter.

I think Conyers sent him enough and he knows where to get the info if he wants it. If he doesn't have any info on fraud, it's not because it's not available to him.

There's enough in Conyer's report to blow the lid off everything, and we know Conyers sent it to Carter with a personal letter. If that doesn't get through, I doubt any of the stuff we sent over will.

It's in his hands. But it's been in other people's hands before and they've let us down. And the commission is so stacked it's hard to see what he could do, other than expose the fraud of the commission itself. Like the fake voting rights activists that are being called in as experts while the real experts are ignored.

CAn't say enough about BradBlog's discovery of ACVR's true identity. I wish the truth about that would be reported. NPR didn't even touch it, even though that story really is a smoking gun. people should go to jail for that.

14. Exactly,Conyers
report to Carter could blow the lid off everything. But I never forget about Barbara Boxer, she said the 1000's of e-mail's and letters of support gave her the courage to step forward. So I say we show Carter the same support, and hope for the same.

15. I hope he meant it
there's no way anything can really be accomplished without some kind of incident or at least some friction between Baker and Carter. Looking at the photo of them smiling at each other, I'm worried. I hope he really meant what he said. Not like when Kerry said they would "count every vote." That was a crock.

19. There are some people I trust...
Bob Fitrakis, Paul Lehto, Cliff Arnebeck, to name a few. People who put their reputation and career on the line in an attempt to defend our democracy deserve our trust in my opinion.

21. Yes! But I mean high up in the Dem party. I trust John Conyers of course
and a few others. But the ones who are not speaking out about election fraud, well, nope. Don't trust them anymore.

IMO there is so much evidence a major crime has been committed, I doubt the credibility of anyone refusing to call for an investigation or even speak about it.

When Carter says "shot through with fraud" I get a little bit of hope that he gets it, and maybe he doesn't feel he can say anything more direct, just yet.

It's a political risk for them, but I think it's riskier to not speak out.

Well, we'll just see how it all pans out. I do believe the truth will eventually out (and sooner rather than later, in this case) and the ones who did not lead or even hindered the truth will lose any honor they hoped to have acquired in their life's work.

Subject: Request for transcript of Commission press statement and press conference

Although the panalist's testimony (and Q&A) was broadcast on C-Span, the 4PM press
statement and press conference was not. Do you have the transcript or audio or video
link available?

Thank you in advance.

23. trouble is
at least publicly, the Carter Center denies any connection to the commission. i suppose it couldn't hurt to send stuff there. It's too bad Carter isn't soliciting feedback and input like Conyers and Boxer did, so they can guage interest.

If they get annoyed enough, they might nudge Carter to set up a more direct channel for this issue.
