Koehler and Jonathan Simon, brief mention in 5-14-05 Seattle P-I

One of the letters to the editor today in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer in response to an editorial question soliciting letters about media bias mentioned Bob Koehler's article quoting Jonathan Simon on the autopsy on democracy showing media silence as the cause of death.

It's the last letter to the editor at:

But, while the reference is there, no link or even the subject of election fraud. And apparently the author of the letter refers to Jonathan as a "political analyst" but other names might be better. Like "exit polling professor Jonathan Simon" would have gotten the point across about what the media's been silent on!

1. Sigh Indeed!

In "Citizens in the Rain" by Robert C. Koehler published by Truthout, this is a quote attributed to political analyst Jonathan Simon:

"When the autopsy of our democracy is performed, it is my belief that media silence will be given as the primary cause of death."

I, unfortunately, agree. Sigh!
